  • Patent number: 4415270
Abstract: A device for mixing paint and similar thick liquids within a container in which the container is held between the jaws of a clamp and rocked back and forth by a source of power. The clamp jaws are freely mounted so that they can rotate with the container about its longitudinal axis. An inertially driven mechanism which is independent of the rocking power source serves to rotate the container about its longitudinal axis as it is rocked, thereby greatly reducing the time required to thoroughly mix the paint within the container.

  • Patent number: 4383460
Abstract: A pillar post assembly for holding the cutting wheel of a glass cutting machine in which the glass cutting wheel is carried by a holder in a post swivel. The post swivel is mounted within a hollow housing for use in a glass cutting machine. The post swivel and cutting wheel holder are permitted limited vertical movement and rotation within the housing so that the cutting wheel adjusts itself to the most favorable position as it begins its first travel across the glass. Friction means within the pillar post assembly, keeps the cutting wheel in the said most favorable position for successive cuts.

  • Patent number: 4378782
Abstract: A tile scoring and fracturing device in which spaced parallel links swingably secured at one end to a base and freely secured at their other ends to the ends of an elongated guide bar to form a rectangular assembly can be shifted to a parallelogram configuration to lower the guide bar toward a tile placed upon the base. A combined tile scoring and fracturing head is slidably carried upon the guide bar. In the rectangular mode the scoring and fracturing head is used to score the tile along a predetermined path. Thereafter, as the links and guide bar are shifted to the parallelogram configuration the tile is fractured by the said head.

  • Patent number: 4281936
Abstract: A paint mixing and conditioning apparatus in which a paint filled container is simultaneously tumbled end over end while being rotated about its longitudinal axis. The container is clamped to a pulley shaped disc which is rotatably carried by spaced resilient wheels journaled in an upstanding plate. The container clamp is disposed to extend across openings in the upstanding plate and disc. The pulley shaped disc is driven peripherally by a resilient drive wheel coupled to a power source to tumble the container. A beveled friction wheel, coupled to the container clamp and in frictional contact with the upstanding plate, rotates the container as the pulley shaped disc is turned.
