The attributes of each file are then compared with the attribute criteria entered by the user for each of the trigger handlers. The participating client can be part of a group of clients of the broadcast, where the responses from the group of clients are combined and played back. A participant can invite certain other participants to “sit next to” him or her, where the responses of the invitees are configured to be intelligible over the combined response.

The present invention provides a network-based photosharing system that includes a plurality of peer nodes that contain images and that are capable of communicating with other peer nodes. The method and system include allowing a user of a first one of the peer nodes to invite at least one visitor to view images hosted on the first peer node, and allowing the visitor to browse the images on the first peer node and to select one or more images to print by filling-out a print request form that identifies only the visitor and the selected images. The method and system further include notifying the user of the submission of the print request form, wherein once notified, the user accesses the print request form, prints the selected images, and delivers the prints to the visitor.

In one aspect, a first node identifier from a first identifier domain space is identified. The first node identifier is included in data for transmission to a recipient. A network directory service node address is determined for a network directory service node configured to resolve the first node identifier to a second node identifier in a second identifier domain space. A message including the data and addressed to the recipient is generated. The message is transmitted to the recipient in association with transmitting, to the recipient, the network directory service node address.

Abstract: At least two computer systems in a peer-to-peer network are utilized to support a secure transaction. Aspects of the present invention include allowing a shopper to create an order to purchase an item stored on a first computer system in the peer-to-peer network, and after the order is created, passing the order and control from the first computer system to a second computer system in the peer-to-peer network. The second computer system establishes a secure transaction session with the shopper, and then proceeds to process the order.
