  • Patent number: 11915259
Abstract: A computerized system for transacting the purchase and sale of consumer motor fuels between motor fuel merchants and retail consumers through software on a mobile or desktop connected device for periods in the future through the simultaneous execution of multi-party, multi-layered contingent transactions and pricing algorithms to ensure that all inter-related motor fuel merchant transactions are simultaneously transacted upon a retail consumer purchase execution. Motor fuels include refined products such as gasoline and diesel fuel, renewable fuels (e.g. ethanol, biodiesel), natural gas (including liquefied natural gas), jet fuel and electricity.

  • Publication number: 20030078567
Abstract: An electro-optical system is provided for use with a target site and configured with pre-programmable energy output functions for customized TPT protocols. One or more laser sources are provided producing an output beam. A control device is coupled to the laser source. The control device includes a memory that stores at least one laser source energy output function. The laser source energy output function is used to create an intra-operatively invisible therapeutic treatment with enhanced thermotolerance which minimize iatrogenic damage to surrounding structures.

  • Patent number: 4482806
Abstract: Method of logging a plurality of underground formations wherein a first and a second gamma ray emitting radioactive tracers with different energy levels are introduced into the formations. Logs are produced of the tracers as the traced fluids pass through the formations and thereafter the logs are analyzed to determined changes in effective permeabilities and sweep of the formations.

  • Patent number: 4423671
Abstract: A floating knife assembly with positive blade positioning for use with a meat defatting machine to trim a portion of a layer of fat from a piece of meat while leaving a desired thickness of fat layer thereon. The knife assembly includes a gauge plate which engages the piece of meat, riding on an upper surface thereof as the meat is urged toward the knife. The gauge plate and knife are interconnected by a linkage system comprising a gauge plate position sensor and a power ram which urges the knife to a desired position relative to the piece of meat dependent upon the position of the gauge plate. The knife is securely locked into position as an individual piece of meat is urged therepast assuring that a constant thickness of fat is retained on the meat.

  • Patent number: 4393761
Abstract: A floating knife assembly is provided to be used in conjunction with a meat defatting machine to trim a portion of a layer of fat from a piece of meat while leaving a desired thickness of fat layer thereon. The knife assembly includes a gauge plate which engages the piece of meat, riding on an upper surface thereof as the meat is urged toward the knife. The gauge plate and knife are mounted on a linkage system which allows the gauge plate and knife to float upwardly or downwardly. The distance between the knife and gauge plate is selectively adjustable to accommodate pieces of meat of different thickness.

  • Patent number: 4349737
Abstract: This invention relates to determining the movable oil saturation in underground rock reservoir by use of a log-inject-log technique. The formation rock adjacent to the wellbore is prepared such that the saturation conditions are representative of those in the interwell area. A pulsed neutron log is then run. A crude oil is injected into the formation. A second pulsed neutron log is then run. A chlorinated crude oil is injected into the formation to displace the previously injected crude oil. A third pulsed neutron log is then run. A salt water of known salinity is then injected into the well to displace a portion of the chlorinated crude oil and all of the formation water. A fourth pulsed neutron log is then run. Fresh water is then injected into the formation to displace the injected salt water. A fifth pulsed neutron time log is then run. These five logs are then used to determine the reservoir characteristics.

  • Patent number: 4281712
Abstract: This invention relates to a method of determining oil saturation in an underground rock formation penetrated by a wellbore by use of a log-inject-log technique. In such techniques, thermal neutron decay time logs are taken with the formation in the native state and then again after fresh water has been injected into the formation. These logs determine water saturations which are used to determine oil saturation. The method of this invention is directed to a method to prepare an aqueous salt solution so that clay and shale impairment of the formation is prevented but such that the thermal neutron capture cross section of the injected fresh water is not significantly different from that of the fresh water typically used.

  • Patent number: 4139109
Abstract: A rear end lift assembly for ready attachment at the interior sides of the rear access opening of a truck body, as a low-load semi-trailer, and thus protected from weather and dirt, and presenting vertical trackways each receiving sliding shoes carrying inwardly extending arms projecting through trackway openings, each arm adapted to removably receive a lift fork with a rearwardly extending article support arm leaving an open space between the arms for operator access in shifting articles from the lift fork arrangement to vertical spaced shelving along the sides of the truck body at any level to which the lift fork arrangement may be selectively powered.

  • Patent number: 4052893
Abstract: A procedure for obtaining data to determine both residual and mobile oil saturations in the vicinity of a test well. The steps are (1) drill with oil or oil-base mud, (2) produce to remove oil filtrate, (3) run laterolog, microlaterolog and pulsed neutron capture log, (4) inject high salinity water, (5) run a second microlaterolog and pulsed neutron capture log, (6) inject fresh water, and (7) run a third pulsed neutron capture log. The data obtained from the logs of the procedure is sufficient to determine the residual oil saturation, the capture cross section of the rock matrix, the saturation exponent, the salinity of the water in the formation after production, and mobile oil saturation both in the oil filtrate invaded zone and beyond the invaded zone.

  • Patent number: 4052613
Abstract: A method is described for gathering information for the determination of the adequacy of placement of sand consolidating plastic for sand control in oil and gas wells. The method uses a high neutron cross-section tracer which becomes part of the plastic and uses pulsed neutron logging before and after injection of the plastic. Preferably, the method uses lithium, boron, indium, and/or cadmium tracers. Boron oxide is especially useful and can be dissolved in alcohol and mixed with the plastic ingredients.
