  • Patent number: 4097684
Abstract: This invention generally relates to prefabricated electric wire assemblies comprising an interconnected network of separately formed, integral, shaped conductors, and to materials and techniques used in the manufacture of such assemblies.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 8, 1974
Date of Patent: June 27, 1978
    Assignee: Kollmorgen Technologies Inc.
    Inventor: Robert Page Burr
  • Patent number: 4094572
Abstract: A multi-wire electrical interconnecting circuit member having a multi-wire matrix of insulated wires mechanically terminated on the multi-wire electrical interconnecting member. Wire retaining members positioned on the multi-wire electrical interconnecting member terminate the wires and establish a gas-tight electrical connection therewith. Each of the wire retaining members includes means for engaging a wire with sufficient force to penetrate any insulation thereon and establish and maintain a gas-tight electrical connection with the conductive core of the wire.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 24, 1977
Date of Patent: June 13, 1978
    Assignee: Kollmorgen Technologies, Inc.
Inventors: Robert Page Burr, Ronald Morino, Raymond J. Keogh

  • Patent number: 3950662
Abstract: A self-commutating motor including main magnets to provide a magnetic field and a rotatable printed circuit armature positioned therebetween. The armature rotates in a self-commutating fashion with a pair of centrally mounted brushes. The printed circuit armature includes two insulating layers having printed circuit conductive elements thereon, and a low reluctance laminated core to which the layers are bonded. The conductive elements may be skewed to a maximum of about 3.degree. and the conductive elements of each layer are electrically interconnected so that the forces on the conductive elements, resulting from interaction of the current flowing in the conductors with the magnetic field, cooperate to apply a torque to the armature of the motor.
