  • Publication number: 20110268282
Abstract: The present invention relates to systems and methods for monitoring compliance with sound volumes in auditoriums. The method includes setting a baseline sound measurement for an audio receiver located in an auditorium. The baseline sound measurement is based on a baseline sample signal broadcast over a baseline period from a sound system, and received by the audio receiver. A sound level standard is defined for content. A live sound measurement is determined over a sampling period of live content broadcast from the sound system. It is then determined if the live sound measurement complies with the sound level standard for content. Notification is provided for non-compliance with the sound level standard for content to a party sourcing the live content.

  • Publication number: 20060221302
Abstract: A projector automation system for controlling one or more controlled systems having functionality that is responsive at least in part to automation control signals. The automation system interacts with a digital projector having a control port and a film projector having a cue sensor that generates cue signals. A film-based cinema automation component receives the cue signals and generate at least some of the automation control signals to the one or more controlled systems. A second cinema automation component has a first interface coupled to the control port of the digital projector and the first cinema automation system. The second cinema automation component includes means for generating at least some of the automation control signals to the one or more controlled systems either autonomously, semi-autonomously, or in response to commands from an external scheduling system.

  • Publication number: 20060222186
Abstract: An audio switch for theatre environments comprising a plurality of analog audio inputs such as 5.1 or 6.1 multi-channel analog audio inputs. An audio output is provided as well as means for selectively coupling any one of the audio inputs to the audio output. The audio switch includes a control interface configured to couple to an external control system.

  • Patent number: 6914662
Abstract: A method for controlling a digital projector by sensing a condition of a switched power outlet and determining and performing at least one programmed response to the sensed condition. Also, a digital projector interface having a switched outlet interface for receiving a signal indicating a condition a switched power outlet and a processor coupled to the switched outlet interface. Processes implemented by the processor are responsive to the switched outlet condition to perform a preselected function involving a digital projector in response to the switched outlet condition.
