  • Publication number: 20120259675
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for a retail collaboration network platform. In some embodiments, the system and method for a retail collaboration network platform includes a portal which the user is able to log in to via a network. The system includes connectivity to a plurality of retailer and vendor analytic tools. These analytic tools may include tools for promotion analysis, price optimization, product assortment, and market analysis. In addition to analytic tools, the platform may include collaborative tools which may interface with the analytic tools. These collaborative tools enable retailers and vendors to work together and with partners to share information and develop and implement strategies based on analytic tools to achieve their respective business objectives. The collaborative tools may be enabled to create at least one workgroup, generate a contact list, monitor the workgroup and contact list for activity and display any such activity.

  • Publication number: 20110131079
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for the system and method for modeling demand by consumer segments. In some embodiments a segment data organizer may receive transaction data. Transaction data may include transaction logs (T logs) from point of sales records from a retailer. These transaction logs, for the most part, include identification information for each transaction. The segment data organizer may also receive customer identification data which includes groupings of customers by consumer segments. The identification information within the transaction logs may be cross referenced by the customer identification data in order to generate groupings of transactions belonging to consumers in each segment. The organizer may then also aggregate the transaction logs by location, time series and product. The aggregated data may be supplied to an econometric engine capable of generating elasticity coefficients for each set of aggregate data.

  • Publication number: 20100018941
Abstract: A method of verifying the integrity of a seal in a sealing region between a container and a sealing film applied to the container comprises viewing at least the sealing region to detect the presence of a detectable predetermined feature in the sealing region. The presence of the detectable predetermined feature in the sealing region is indicative of an improper seal between the container and the sealing film whilst the absence of the detectable predetermined feature in the sealing region is indicative of an integral seal between the container and the sealing film.

  • Publication number: 20060195313
Abstract: A verb conjugating system allows a user to input a form of a verb and display the verb forms. The verb conjugating system allows the user to input the infinitive form or non-infinitive forms of a verb. When a user inputs a non-infinitive form of a verb, the verb conjugating system identifies a corresponding base form of the verb. The verb conjugating system then uses the base form to retrieve and display the verb forms for the verb. The verb conjugating system may highlight the non-infinitive form of the verb within the displayed verb forms to assist the user in locating the verb form of interest.

  • Publication number: 20040154413
Abstract: A system for monitoring a machine (10) comprises a number of strategically placed sensing devices (11, 12, 13, 14) which are arranged to detect particular physical characteristics, such as vibration, thermal energy etc. Output signals from the sensing devices are delivered to a processor (15) which combines them to produce control signals indicative of the condition of a particular part or parts of the machine. In this way, the health of the machine can be continously monitored.

  • Patent number: 6284817
Abstract: The invention provides a conductive, resin-based composition, which includes a resinous material, and a conductive filler dispersed therein. The conductive filler includes a first conductive filler component and a second conductive filler component. The particles of the first conductive filler component are harder than those of the second conductive filler component, when measured using the Mohs hardness scale. The composition is subjected to shear mixing forces which shearingly disperse the first and second conductive filler components throughout the resinous material in such a way that the particles of the second conductive filler component occupy the interstitial voids within the network of first conductive filler component particles contained in the resinous material and thereby enhance conductivity.
