    Abstract: An installation formed of several independent groups is proposed to demolish structures such as buildings, bridges, materials, etc., in particular eliminating any risk of accidental firing. Each group comprises a control unit (10) with several outputs (18) including at least one laser source (16), pyrotechnic initiators (12) with optical control, and optical fibers (14) connecting the outputs (18) of the control unit (10) to the initiators (12). Laser sources (16) may be either laser diodes, or sources with a pumped solid rod operating in relaxed mode.
