  • Patent number: 11874202
Abstract: Method of condition monitoring an industrial asset is described. The method involves collecting one or more of process variables associated with the industrial asset. Determining abnormal operating conditions for the one or more process variables. Providing a graphic monitoring of the industrial asset, wherein the graphic monitoring visually represents part or portion of the industrial asset operating in abnormal operating conditions.

  • Patent number: 7712429
Abstract: A system operable by a single workman safely launches and recovers an unmanned undersea vehicle (UUV) using a motor-driven carriage to transport the UUV to the water. The UUV is fitted to a reconfigurable sabot. An elevating ramp on the carriage supports the sabot and UUV on an elongate conveyer assembly having inclined rollers aligned with motor-driven belts to selectively outwardly and inwardly displace the UUV between the carriage and the water. Hinge members are used to rotatably connect the elevating ramp to the carriage, and a lifting mechanism connected to the carriage and ramp rotatably displaces the ramp about the hinge members. The rollers and belts displace the UUV on the conveyer assembly. A winch on the elevating ramp has a line connected to the UUV to lower and raise the UUV during launch and recovery operations.

  • Patent number: 7513210
Abstract: A modular sponson for a small boat has discrete sections disposed in a series from the bow and along both sides to the stern. Each section has an axially extending length of tubing defining a longitudinal opening and a plurality of elongate pieces of closed cell foam material secured to the outside of the tubing for the length of each section. Flotation structure outwardly disposed from and in contact with the elongate pieces is covered by a protective covering that reaches inwardly to opposite ends of each length of tubing. A bonding agent is provided on the tubing, elongate pieces, and flotation structure to hold them together in each discrete section of the modular sponson. An elongate cable extends through the longitudinal openings of the series of sections and exerts a tensile force to hold the sections adjacent one another in compression.

  • Patent number: 6893540
Abstract: An apparatus for and method of distillation uses a high temperature thermoelectric device to heat a liquid, such as water to vapor (steam) and cool the vapor to a purified, distilled liquid. Distillation system has no moving parts, thereby increasing reliability while reducing noise and maintenance. Liquid in a container has a heating section on the container extending into it to boil it into a vapor that is fed to a condenser section disposed on the container adjacent to the heating section. A thermoelectric section provided with a Peltier effect device is interposed between the heating section and condenser section. The Peltier effect device has one side in contiguous contact with the condenser to transfer heat from it and another side is in contiguous contact with the heating section to transfer heat to it to boil the liquid into the vapor and feed the vapor through the condenser that condenses it into distilled liquid.

  • Patent number: 5934911
Abstract: A waterproof quick disconnect slip ring device includes a female component ttached to a rotating component, a male component attached to a stationary component and removably inserted into a cavity of the female component so as to permit relative rotation between the female and male components, and an annular dynamic seal provided between the female and male components so as to provide a dynamic water-tight seal therebetween as the female and male components rotate relative to one another. The female and male components respectively have first and second electrical conductor arrangements which are electrically coupled together and maintained in the electrical coupled relationship as the female and male components and the first and second electrical conductor arrangements therewith undergo rotation relative to one another. The slip ring device also includes an annular hub and a pair of end caps with annular static seals.
