    Abstract: A device for dispensing fluid onto a substrate that is movable relative to the device. The device includes a basic body that has a fluid supply channel which is connectable to a fluid source. A slotted nozzle assembly communicates with the fluid supply channel. The slotted nozzle assembly is formed on or attached to the basic body and has a slot-shaped discharge opening for dispensing the fluid. A fluid valve selectively interrupts or releases the fluid stream. The basic body and/or the slotted nozzle assembly have a plurality of segments which are situated adjacent to each other in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the slot-shaped discharge opening.
