Publication number: 20240066322Abstract: Various devices, systems, and methods for performing personalized dosimetry of a patient receiving a radiopharmaceutical are described. In an example method, anatomic data is generated by performing a computed tomography (CT) scan on the patient when they are lying down and wearing a garment. Based on the anatomic data, locations of organs of the patient are determined with respect to one or more fiducial markers integrated with the garment. Detectors for detecting photons from a radiopharmaceutical are placed on the garment based on locations of the organs. Subsequently, the patient may be administered a dose of the radiopharmaceutical. When the patient wears the garment, the detectors may detect photons released from the decaying radiopharmaceutical that is distributed in the organs. The radiation dosage to the organs may be determined based on the detected photons.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2021Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Larry A Pierce, II, Robert S. Miyaoka, Robert L Harrison

Patent number: 11897743Abstract: The industry-standard corkscrew has numerous flaws resulting in broken corks—even in the hands of a professional. The present invention is a radical departure from the traditional corkscrew apparatus. The opener generally consists of the handle and an internally threaded half-pipe. The half-pipe slides between the cork and the bottle, wherein the series of threads engage the cork. Rotating the handle causes the threads to bore deeper into the neck of the bottle until the handles meets the lip of the bottle, and then lift the cork out of the bottle until it disengages and falls away from the opener. It should be appreciated that the elegance of the opener resides in its simplicity.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2021Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Inventors: Christopher Kirk Carter, Nicholas Robert Pierce

Patent number: 11854333Abstract: Existing currency validation (CVAL) devices, systems, and methods are too slow, costly, intrusive, and/or bulky to be routinely used in common transaction locations (e.g., at checkout, at an automatic teller machine, etc.). Presented herein are devices, systems, and methods to facilitate optical validation of documents, merchandise, or currency at common transaction locations and to do so in an obtrusive and convenient way. More specifically, the present invention embraces a validation device that may be used alone or integrated within a larger system (e.g., point of sale system, kiosk, etc.). The present invention also embraces methods for currency validation using the validation device, as well as methods for improving the quality and consistency of data captured by the validation device for validation.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2021Date of Patent: December 26, 2023Assignee: Hand Held Products, Inc.Inventors: Erik Van Horn, Gennady Germaine, Christopher Allen, David J. Publication number: 20230322450Abstract: A latch mechanism for a child-resistant storage case has a seal bead between the lid and body of the storage case. The latch mechanism includes a latch tab extending downward from the lid that must be simultaneously pivoted inward and pressed upward to release the lid. The latch tab acts as a lever arm to locally deform the adjacent portions of the lid and seal, and thereby more easily release the seal when the latch tab is pressed upward.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 31, 2023Publication date: October 12, 2023Applicant: CRATIV Solutions, Inc.Inventors: William Edward Ludlow, Robert Pierce Donley, Jonathan Bradley Duke
