Abstract: A two-unit system for finishing and polishing a target surface such as a dental restoration or appliance. A two-unit system and the method of employing such a system may include a finishing unit that combines gross reduction and final contouring capabilities into the single finishing unit that still results in leaving a smooth surface finish. A separate polishing unit may also be provided that combines contacting the target surface to polish and to achieve high gloss luster into the single unit.

Abstract: A package (10) for the storage and dispensing of a plurality of materials includes a first and a second longitudinally juxtaposed barrels (11, 12). Each barrel (11, 12) having a first and a second end (20, 21). Each first and second barrels (11, 12) having a quantity of at least one of the materials initially contained therein, and each barrel having an open end (20) and a dispensing end (21). A sealing plunger (40) disposed in each barrel (11, 12) such that the material in each barrel (11, 12) is initially positioned between the dispensing end (21) of the barrels (11, 12) and the respective ones of the sealing plungers (40). A snap cap (23) is contiguously formed to initially close each of the dispensing ends (21) of the barrels (11, 12), such that the snap cap (23) may be broken from the barrels (11, 12) to thereby forming a secondary open end (22) at the dispensing end (21) of the barrels (11, 12), thereby facilitating the material contained in each barrel (11, 12) to flow through and be dispensed.

Abstract: An adapter assembly for connecting a medication bottle to a needleless syringe, particularly a luer-lock syringe, is provided. The bottle adapter includes a cylindrically-shaped main body. Multiple annular fins project outwardly from the main body for engaging and gripping the interior surfaces of the bottle. This close interference fitting between the adapter and bottle provides a tight and effective seal. The adapter is particularly suitable for connecting a bottle containing a drug in solid form, such as a powdered drug, to a syringe containing a liquid carrier. The syringe is inserted into the adapter and liquid is injected into the bottle. The liquid mixes with the powdered drug to form a drug solution. The bottle adapter can be used in a wide variety of medical, dental, pharmaceutical, and other healthcare applications.
