  • Patent number: 11801994
Abstract: A receptacle is provided for holding a quantity of solid material. The receptacle includes a container having an open end, and a gate operably connected to the container so as to be rotatable to a closed position structured to prevent solid material from exiting the container through the open end. The gate includes a locking arm mounted thereon. A latching mechanism is operably connected to the container and includes a latch rotatable to a latched orientation structured to contact the locking arm to prevent the gate from being rotated out of the closed position. The locking arm is structured to move rearwardly and upwardly during rotation of the gate out of the closed position. The latch is structured so that contact between the latch and the locking arm when the latch is in the latched orientation prevents rearward and upward movement of the locking arm.

  • Publication number: 20210316229
Abstract: Disclosed is methods of preparing a cannabinoid extract or cannabinoids from Cannabis biomass. The biomass can be at any degree of hydration, from damp with external water, to dried. The methods use a triacylglyceride (TAG) oil to extract cannabinoids into the TAG oil at +5° C. to +45° C. The enriched oil is then optionally further processed. If the TAG was either triacetin or tributyrin, the further processing can be done directly using reverse phase chromatography.

  • Patent number: 7789742
Abstract: A system that wirelessly integrates actual golf equipment with a computer and the internet to allow players remotely located from one another to play a competitive simulated game of golf. An individual player may opt to play solo or practice to improve basic golfing techniques. The system includes smart golf clubs, a golf ball receptacle and a golf club motion sensing device, all containing circuits and contact or motion sensors coupled with signal processing and radio frequency transmitter circuitry, thereby wirelessly communicate game performance information to a remote receiver-computer. The computer displays player information and visually simulates and controls a golf game between two players, via the internet, having similar equipment and remotely located from each other. Standard golf clubs may be retrofitted with the sensors and associated circuitry to convert such clubs into “smart clubs” for use with the system.

  • Patent number: 7330322
Abstract: A data storage system and a method for storing data in a data storage system are provided. The data storage system includes a data storage medium that has at least one physical track that stores at least a portion of manufacturing process data, and virtual tracks that store user data.

  • Patent number: 6751045
Abstract: A method and apparatus for compensating for repeatable run-out errors in a disc drive is disclosed. The compensation is created by determining transfer function values for a servo loop in the drive as well as a sequence of repeatable run-out values for a portion of a disc. The repeatable run-out values are divided by respective transfer function values to produce compensation values that are inverse transformed to produce time-domain compensation values. These time-domain compensation values are injected into the servo loop to compensate for repeatable run-out errors.

  • Patent number: 6650501
Abstract: To alleviate excessive non-repeatable runout (NRRO) on heads between discs, an original multi-disc design is adapted by (a) reducing the number of discs in the stack and (b) configuring the disc drive of the adapted design with a larger nominal inter-disc separation than that of the original design. In one embodiment, the larger separation is maintained by an increased number of disc spacers between each consecutive pair of the discs in the disc stack of the modified design. The result of such a design adaptation is a disc drive with better performance characteristics than would exist by the original design.

  • Publication number: 20030000133
Abstract: A system and apparatus for growing plants is disclosed. The system includes a first thermal panel with multiple flow channels, the thermal panel being located between a growing space and a light source. A cooling fluid is circulated in a countercurrent flow pattern (i.e. in at least two different directions). The channels may be connected to one or more headers, which serve as a fluid manifold to deliver fluid and collect fluid from the flow channels. Growing closely spaced plants from seed or cuttings to transplants for the field or a greenhouse is one application of this system.

  • Patent number: 6398262
Abstract: A modular sub-frame comprises an upper portion, a lower portion and an intermediate shock absorbing member. The upper portion is a steel fabrication for mounting to the chassis and the lower portion is a light-weight metal, e.g., aluminum, casting or castings for mounting to the steering components, whereby these two portions are separated by a vibration-dampening bushing. The lower portion of the modular sub-frame may be formed as a one-piece cast member or a multi-piece casting design where the casting members are jointed by bolts or other fastening means. In the multi-piece casting design, the front and rear bulkhead castings are the same identical part as are the top longitudinal members to provide interchangeability among the various components. By splitting the sub-frame into two parts, the top part can be isolated from the bottom part to reduce noise transmission from the sub-frame to the chassis, while maintaining the necessary rigid positioning of the suspension control arms and steering system.
