  • Publication number: 20070123368
Abstract: Sports swing training aid with a resilient cushion, the cushion at least four, inches thick with two parallel flat surfaces of at least 430 square inches, the cushion enclosed in a tough, durable fabric and having standard attachment devices affixed to each corner of one side of the flat parallel surface . A preferred embodiment includes the resilient rectangular cushion is constructed of an internal block of polyurethane foam and covered by abrasion resistant nylon or canvas with four D rings located on the corners of one parallel side.

  • Publication number: 20070112286
Abstract: Hip rotation measuring device with an accelerometer, a micro-controller, a printed circuit board, a memory chip, a power supply such as batteries, an on-off switch, a start-stop recording switch, an acceleration direction switch an audible sound generator, a readout display such as an LCD display, standard support electronics such as resistors capacitors and regulators for operating the electronic components, a case to house the components, and a belt clip or other standard attachment device fixed to the outside of the case so that when the components are combined within the case and when the case is attached by the clip to an article of clothing that is in close proximity to a moving body part such as a hip, the readout display can show magnitude of acceleration or deceleration of hip movement of the user. The device can measure other body part acceleration and deceleration such as hand, foot, shoulders.

  • Publication number: 20060205532
Abstract: Pendulum putting system including a golf putter with a shaft gripping portion, a shaft, and a center shafted putter head. The shaft is attached to the putter head so that the resulting angle between the ground plane of the putter head and the shaft length is greater than seventy two degrees. The shaft is less than thirty-two inches in length and the putter head weighs more than four hundred grams. A preferred embodiment includes a system where the user grips the gripping portion in a symmetrical fashion consisting of the palmer surfaces of the two index fingers to be extended along the length of the grip, the remaining fingers interlocked and the thumbs overlapped with gripping pressure being applied to the the putter grip by the palms, interlocking fingers, extended index fingers and overlapping thumbs.

  • Patent number: 6786855
Abstract: Hip Rotation Training Device with a base plate, a torsion resisting element such as a torsion spring, a torsion spring attachment rod, an inner vertical support tube, a tube support socket, an outer vertical support tube and a hip retaining assembly. The tube support socket is fixedly attached to the base plate. The torsion spring is fixedly attached to the bottom of the inner vertical support tube. The spring attachment rod is fixedly attached to bottom of said torsion spring, said spring attachment rod slidalbly attached at its opposite end to said tube support socket and held in place by a cross pin.

  • Patent number: 6656063
Abstract: Practice ball hitting device with a hollow housing made of molded rigid plastic material having a parallel pair of spaced apart triangular side planes joined at their perimeter by a flat plane that forms a bottom and inwardly angled sides, the flat sides having a removed U shaped section at the apex portion of the triangular planes, an S shaped low mass arm having an integral, horizontally disposed shaft, the shaft being slip fit into sockets on the inside face of said U shaped cut out section, said S shaped arm terminating at each end in a ball shape, and said lower section of said housing capable of retaining water which acts as a stabilizing element. An optical encoder on the end of the shaft interacts with a photo diode to measure number of rotations of the shaft. A microprocessor translates the number of rotations into distance the ball is hit. A numeric display or an audible sound tells the distance the ball has been hit.
