Abstract: A closure device includes a female member which is open at the front end thereof and a male member which is receivable through the open front end of the female member for releasably securing it in a locked position in the female member. The female member includes a top wall having a substantially rectangular aperture therein, and the male member includes a resiliently depressible button portion which is of substantially rectangular configuration and is receivable in the aperture in the female member for securing the male member in the locked position. The female member further includes a pair of spaced alignment tabs which extend inwardly into the open front end thereof for guiding the button portion of the male member into the aperture when the male member is inserted into the female member. The closure device is operable in combination with a pair of plate-like buckle members for securing the buckle members together to form a buckle.
