Abstract: Functionally enhanced shrink-wrap materials having protective coatings composed of mixtures of a water-compatibilized, modified polyolefin resins (Component A) and a mixture of a water-compatibilized acrylic resin (Component B) and a water-compatibilized polyurethane resin (Component C) wherein said mixture contains from approximately 100% to 50% by weight Component B and from approximately 50% to 0% by weight of Component C are provided. Moreover, methods and materials are disclosed for providing protective shrink-wrap covering with enhanced, long-term durability and improved resistance to chemical contamination, biological agents, radiation, pollutants, physical stress and structural deformation among other environmental factors are also disclosed.

Abstract: Materials and methods are disclosed for providing a durable tape having improved durability and improved resistance to environmental stresses including corrosive gases and photo-degradation. The durable tape contains non-volatile sacrificial metals and radical scavengers as an integral part of its construction.

Abstract: Protective coverings are provided that are composed of shrink-wrap and elastic stretch materials in combination with anti-corrosive materials. Highly durable, long-lived shrink-wrap materials are provided that can be used in conjunction with foam or fabric liners. The non-volatile anti-corrosive materials can be incorporated in the shrink-wrap material and/or the foam or the fabric liner. The protective coverings provided can be used to protect any article from environmental exposure, but are ideally suited for large industrial items such as aircraft, boats, vehicles, bulk materials, military equipment and electronics.
