Publication number: 20080134619Abstract: The I-beam of this invention is formed from a pair of parallel flange members and a continuous web material affixed to and joining the flange members. The web material is formed so as to define a plurality of differently shaped holes therein that provide access for mechanical elements without compromising the compressive and tensile load capability of the I-beam. The web material is preferably formed from OSB and even more preferably ? inch thick OSB. In addition, the I-beam of this invention preferably has one end where the web material is continuous and does not define any openings therein. This portion of the I-beam thus allows the I-beam to be trimmed so standard lengths of the I-beam can be cut to the desired length for a particular application.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2007Publication date: June 12, 2008Applicant: Georgia-Pacific Wood Products LLCInventors: Kirk M. Nichols, Richard Dean Graham, Robert R. Graham

Patent number: 7185707Abstract: The present invention may be used as an apparatus and method for extracting oil from a hydrocarbon material bearing formation. A well may be positioned in a formation having hydrocarbon material with a well casing extending into the formation that may have a number of apertures formed in the casing wall adjacent to multiple zones of interest in the formation. A hydrostatic separator may have a specific gravity approximately equal to an oil that may be extracted from the formation and may be positioned and anchored in the well casing above and adjacent to an upper level of said formation. An extraction pipe may be disposed interior to the well casing with a lower end positioned above and adjacent a separator top and may have an upper end attached at a well head. The well head may be in fluid communication with an oil storage unit and in communication with a pressure application apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2005Date of Patent: March 6, 2007Inventor: Robert R. Patent number: 6066791Abstract: The present invention discloses a novel method and apparatus for instructing a student how to play a musical instrument. The method includes providing a display device, displaying a staff on the display device, displaying an image on the display device, and instructing the student to focus on the image while preferably using a musical instrument to play the notes on the staff, wherein the image moves generally in the direction of the progression of notes on the staff while the student attempts to play the, notes with the musical instrument. As the image moves, the image preferably moves in a direction generally parallel to the staff.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 1999Date of Patent: May 23, 2000Assignee: Renarco, Inc.Inventors: Paul S. Patent number: 3975854Abstract: A fishing machine mounted on the side rail of a boat for automatically catching and boating fish. A rigid bracket is attached to the boat. The bracket has a base plate pivotally mounted thereon. A stator of a rotary actuator is attached to the base plate with its rotor supporting a hollow elongated fishing pole extending away from the boat to a fishing position over the water adjacent the outer deck periphery of the boat. A self-reciprocating hydraulic cylinder is attached between the bracket and the base plate to provide horizontal oscillational movement to the fishing pole. A fishing line with a fish catching lure at one end positioned below the surface of the water passes through the hollow fishing pole and its other end is attached to the control for the rotary actuator. Whn the weight of a fish is transmitted via the line to the rotary actuator control, the actuator rotor rotates in a manner to elevate the pole tip to a position over the deck of the boat.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 1975Date of Patent: August 24, 1976Inventor: Robert R.
