  • Patent number: 11931051
Abstract: An instrument for setting a position of a resection of a distal femur or a proximal tibia in a total knee arthroplasty, the instrument comprising: a stable portion, the stable portion configured for orientation in a set position relative to said distal femur or said proximal tibia; a resection guide portion, the resection guide portion configured to guide a resection path for said resection; a resection guide body, the resection guide body associated with the resection guide portion in a fixed orientation; the resection guide body pivotally connected to the stable portion, whereby pivoting adjustment of the resection guide body on the stable portion sets a resection orientation of the resection guide portion; and the resection guide body having a lock for selectively locking the resection guide body to the stable portion at a plurality of selectable resection orientations.

  • Patent number: 6174947
Abstract: The inventors provide herein polymeric vehicles effective for depositing a coating composition that is curable upon exposure to the atmosphere and which has a low content of a volatile organic component, a high content of nonvolatile materials, a low viscosity, and a short drying time determined under common atmospheric conditions. The polymeric vehicle of the invention contains a polyurethane obtained by combining a polyisocyanate and a polyol having pendant hydroxyl groups, a polyunsaturated resin, oil, and a drier component. The inventors also provide the coating compositions themselves. The compositions have sufficiently low viscosities as to be readily applied to a surface, and which dry to hardness in less than 4.5 hrs.

  • Patent number: 4949901
Abstract: A self-locking bill accumulator having tamper-proof features is provided for use with a dollar bill processing machine. During use, the bill accumulator is mounted to a bill processing machine. The accumulator has a double locking feature whereby rotation of an outer lock by means of a key is required in order to detach and remove the bill accumulator from the dollar bill processing machine. This rotation of the outer lock occurs prior to removal of the bill accumulator and causes a corresponding rotation of an inner lock, which in turn positively locks the bill accumulator to protect bills in the accumulator from pilferage after removal. Upon removal of the bill accumulator, the outer lock becomes disengaged from the inner lock such that a separate key is required in order to "unlock" the bill accumulator and remove the bills.

  • Patent number: 4175063
Abstract: A high solids resinous product obtained by the process comprising reacting an unsaturated aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, one or more aromatic dicarboxylic acids or anhydride thereof, a mixture of bis- and tris(hydroxy)-alkanes and a monohydric alcohol, in the presence of catalytic amounts of dibutyl tin oxide and a solvent at a temperature of up to 430.degree. F. until the acid value is less than about 3.0, said resinous product having a non-volatile content of about 90% and a Gardner viscosity about Z.sub.1.

  • Patent number: 4133786
Abstract: An acrylate modified alkyd resin obtained by the process consisting of the steps (a) forming an alkyd resin by reacting a conjugated fatty acid and an aromatic dicarboxylic acid or anhydride, and dimethylolpropionic acid with an excess of polyol, and (b) reacting the alkyd so formed with an alkyl-substituted or un-substituted acrylic acid or ester thereof or mixture thereof.
