  • Patent number: 6334464
Abstract: A dump valve for a high pressure fluid line includes a base, a fitting secured to the base and adapted to be interposed along the high pressure fluid line. The fitting defined an internal manifold having a dump port in communication with the manifold. A hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder is mounted on the base at a position for forcing a valve member into a valve closed position in engagement with a valve seat within the dump port. The fluid cylinder exerts a continuous force to maintain the valve member in the valve closed position against the urging of fluid pressure within the manifold. In an emergency condition, the fluid cylinder allows the valve member to withdraw from the valve seat, thereby ejecting pressurized fluid from the dump port.

  • Patent number: 6050227
Abstract: A cleaning apparatus for a boiler including a boiler enclosure having a plurality of spaced-apart heat exchange tubes positioned therein comprising a movable support positioned outwardly of the boiler enclosure having a first, elongated hollow pipe extending therefrom which is introduced into the boiler enclosure. A pair of spray arms are mounted on the end of the first pipe and rotate with the pipe to supply high pressure cleaning water onto the tubes so that debris is washed from the heat exchange tubes. An optional cooling jacket is also described which may be positioned around the first pipe for cooling the first pipe.

  • Patent number: 5211135
Abstract: An apparatus for deslagging a steam boiler includes a plurality of loop clusters of detonating cord, each including a plurality of loops arranged in a multi-directional pattern to impart a three-dimensional generally spheroid shaped to the cluster The clusters are supported in spaced apart relation between a pair of adjacent tubing panels and are interconnected by lengths of detonating cord to form an explosive assembly adapted for substantially simultaneous detonation. A plurality of explosive assemblies are arranged in approximately every third or fourth spread between tubing panels and are interconnected so as to pyrotechnically detonate each explosive assembly after a predetermined delay in response to detonation of another explosive assembly to which it is connected. The invention is further directed to the method of deslagging a steam boiler with the plurality of loop clusters of the invention.
