Publication number: 20240124196Abstract: A thermoplastic bag includes duplicative seals. In particular, in one or more implementations, a thermoplastic bag includes a first seal and at least a second seal reinforcing the same area of the thermoplastic bag. For instance, in one or more implementations, the thermoplastic bag includes multiple seals along each side edge or along the hem. If one seal fails, the other seal(s) can remain in place to prevent leaks. Thus, the duplicative seals of the thermoplastic bag can provide reinforced strength and desired aesthetics.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Inventors: Jason R. Patent number: 11958660Abstract: Thermoplastic bags with phased deformation patterns are described. In particular, one or more implementations comprise thermoplastic bags with ring rolling, SELFing, or other deformation patterns phased or aligned relative to the sides of the bags. The phased deformation patterns can allow for reducing or eliminating deformation patterns in areas of the thermoplastic bag in which side seals or other seals are formed. Additionally or alternatively, the phased deformation patterns can provide for zones that provide differing properties (e.g., functional or aesthetic). Such zones can vary aligned along a width of the thermoplastic bag and optionally also vary along a height of the thermoplastic bag. The differing zones can provide the thermoplastic bags with phased deformations that provide leak prevention, liquid containment, and other benefits.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2020Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: THE GLAD PRODUCTS COMPANYInventors: Shaun T. Publication number: 20170318911Abstract: In accordance with one aspect of the present description, a shoe treatment device is provided having a shoe interior engagement form expandable from a latched, contracted state to an expanded state. A user operated slide actuator positioned exterior to the shoe may drive the engagement form to expand to the expanded state. The slide actuator may be actuated to contract the engagement form back to the contracted state. A latch may latch the engagement form in the selected contracted or expansion state to facilitate insertion and removal and treatment of the shoe. Other aspects are described.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 26, 2017Publication date: November 9, 2017Inventors: Maureen E. Stockton, Eddie Paul, Robert R. Tucker

Patent number: 4685892Abstract: A toy construction set having a plurality of generally planar geometrically configured unitary multi-sided construction elements, with each side having a tab connected thereto with living hinges, each tab including an aligned pair of connectors, each connector including a generally cup-shaped protuberance, the exterior forming a male connector or pin and the interior forming a female connector or well. Adjacent connectors on a given tab are inverted relative to one another. A shaft member is provided with one end having a pin and the other end having a wall. A wheel carrying member is provided with horseshoe-shaped clip portions for engaging the periphery of the shaft member.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 1985Date of Patent: August 11, 1987Assignee: Mattel, Inc.Inventors: Diane C. Patent number: 4109565Abstract: A coffee percolator includes conventional elements such as an electrical heating element, an on/off switch for energizing the heating element and a thermostatic switch for deactivating the heating element when the brewing coffee reaches a predetermined first temperature. The coffee percolator further includes a conventional pump and a coffee ground receptacle disposed in the upper portion of the inner chamber of the percolator. The invention resides in the inclusion of a temperature actuated pump for deactivating the pump when the temperature of the fluid in the inner chamber of the percolator is less than a second temperature. The second temperature is below the first temperature which activates the thermostatic switch. The temperature actuated pump control means includes an aperture disposed in the coffee pump to release fluid under pressure from the pump and thereby to disable the pump at low fluid temperatures.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 1977Date of Patent: August 29, 1978Inventor: Robert R.
