Abstract: A chip module configured for use with a fluid sample processing system can include one or more assay devices arranged into one or more rows. The assay device(s) can include one or more wells configured to hold fluid therein and one or more aspiration channels connected to the well(s). The aspiration channel(s) can be configured to aspirate fluid from the bottoms or the sides of the well(s). The assay device(s) can be arranged within a frame in the chip module, which can be removable from the fluid sample processing system. This chip module can also include one or more trenches beneath the aspiration channel(s). the trench(es) being configured to facilitate the aspiration of fluid from multiple wells. A hydrophobic material can be included in the aspiration channel(s) and/or trench(es) to hold the fluid therein without the fluid passing through the aspiration channel(s) during analytic measurements on the fluid.

  • Publication number: 20250138173
Abstract: Positioning acoustic receivers to sense an incoming acoustic wave uses a first receiver adjacent to a second receiver. The first and second receivers have a center point along a first axis. A third receiver is adjacent to the first receiver. A center point of the third receiver is along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. A third axis, perpendicular to the second axis, crosses the center point of the third receiver. A fourth axis crosses the center point of the second receiver and is perpendicular to the third axis. A fourth receiver is adjacent to the second and third receivers. A center point of the fourth receiver is an offset distance from the third and fourth axes. The offset is greater than zero but less than one-half a wavelength of an incoming acoustic wave.

  • Publication number: 20240301822
Abstract: An air compressor system includes: two or more compressed air tanks previously filled with compressed air; several compression chambers also filled with compressed air, each containing a small internal expandable tube; located inside a larger external heavy-walled tube bonded to endcaps containing one-way and two-way valves, rigidly attached to top and bottom outside tanks; a timed valve inside expandable tube allowing compressed air from top tank to expand that tube to inside of heavy-walled tube, compressing ambient air outside expandable tube that entered through one-way valves. A second timed valve opens, forcing the original air back into the tank bottom or for immediate use or storage. Several other compression chambers follow the same procedure nonstop, increasing the psi in tank for immediate use or storage. All FIG. 1A compression chambers share two common tanks, which fill from top tank 600 and empty in bottom tank 602 in sequence.

  • Publication number: 20240157223
Abstract: The present invention comprises a novel device that is placed over the anterior portion of the lower leg with the intent to reduce pressure on the Tibialis Anterior muscle and Tibialis Anterior tendon when a direct force is applied to the anterior lower leg. This may provide relief to and protection against the “shin-bang” condition which many suffer from, principally those who are snow skiing. One way this is achieved is through a novel medially thickened shin pad embedded in an innovative ski sock. Another way is through a novel medially thickened shin pad embedded in the tongue of a ski boot.

  • Patent number: 11861300
Abstract: A system for maintaining links and revisions for documents is described. The system comprises a productivity server configured to provide a document collaboration service and having processors and a memory storing program data. The program data configures the processors to: receive requests indicating revisions on the documents, including a first request that indicates a first revision to a first document, and a second request that indicates a second revision to a second document. For each request, a workspace revision counter shared by, and indicating a revision state of, the documents is incremented. The workspace revision counter is incremented a first time for the first request and a second time for the second request. Revisions corresponding to the each request are queued in a workspace revision queue shared by the documents. The revisions are caused to be performed on the documents that correspond to the each request.

  • Patent number: 11760924
Abstract: Polymer-coated proppants for hydraulic fracturing of oil and gas wells have an outer layer portion that comprises an organofunctional coupling agent, preferably an organofunctional silane coupling agent. The use of an organofunctional silane coupling agent in the outer layer portion of the proppant coating is preferably chosen to expose functionalities that will be reactive towards similar functionalities of adjacent and similarly coated proppants so that, when introduced downhole, these proppants form interparticle bonds at the temperatures and crack closure pressures found downhole in fractured strata. Such enhanced interparticle bonding helps keep the proppant in the fracture and maintains conductivity with reduced flowback. The invention also helps proppants designed for low temperature well to bond more firmly and allows proppants designed for high temperature wells to bond well even at lower downhole temperatures, thereby extending their useful range.

  • Patent number: 11717740
Abstract: The present disclosure comprises a novel system that attaches to skis in an alpine touring setup and provides electric, battery powered, motorized traction that assists the skier when traveling uphill or horizontal on snow. In one embodiment, the devices removably attach to the ski near the tail and have a cylindrical traction surface that sits below the ski near the tail. The traction surface is powered by an electric hub motor which engages, either with initiation of forward movement, input from sensors, or a set programmed cadence, thereby assisting the user's moving, unweighted ski forward until the completion of that step. Once arrived at the desired destination, or when downhill travel is warranted, the user removes and stores the devices from each ski and proceeds downhill.

  • Publication number: 20220413982
Abstract: In some examples, a non-transitory computer-readable medium stores machine-readable instructions, which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to: identify an event of a computing device from operational data of the computing device; evaluate the event to determine if the event is a non-routine event; and store the event to a timeline if the event is a non-routine event, where the timeline includes an incident of the computing device.

  • Patent number: 11418103
Abstract: A power system for an aircraft engine provides rotational drive to propeller driven and turbofan jet engine powered aircraft by use of a propeller or fan drive motor. Electrical power is provided to the drive motor by a high efficiency electrical power generator with reduced electromagnetic drag or reverse torque. The electric generator utilizes a solid state rotor that does not rotate which allows for power generation without reverse torque or the usual energy required to rotate the rotor inside the stator of the generator. Only the magnetic poles of the disclosed rotor rotate to generate the power. The fan blades of the turbofan jet engine are driven by the electric drive motor in which the rotor is a part of the fan as well as the drive from the high pressure turbine.
