Abstract: The present invention relates to guidance during a medical intervention. In order to provide an improved navigation support with a facilitated setup, a system (10) for navigation support is provided. An image data input (12) receives a plurality of acquired 2D X-ray images of a subject's body from different angles. A set of markers, which are visible in X-ray images and which are detectable by a navigation system, is assigned to the subject. A marker detecting arrangement (16) is provided that detects a current spatial location of the markers assigned to the subject. A data processor (14) reconstructs a 3D volume of the subject based on the plurality of 2D X-ray images. At least a part of the markers is arranged outside the volume covered by the reconstructed 3D volume of the subject, while the markers are visible in the 2D X-ray images.

The first raised hollow portion has a groove formed along an outer surface thereof. The system includes a cutter for cutting a first portion of the specimen sample bottle. The cutter has a handle at a first end and a second end portion that receives the first portion of the specimen sample bottle and a blade for cutting the first portion. The second end portion has a flange with a raised rail formed along an inner surface of the flange, with the raised rail being received within the groove to couple the cutter to first raised portion during performance of a cutting operation.

Abstract: A protective headgear for a baseball or softball fielder includes a rigid outer protective shell that has a first side portion, an opposing second side portion and a brim that extends outwardly from a front portion. The outer protective shell has a top opening and a rear opening that is defined between the first and second side portions. As a result, the protective headgear does not completely circumscribe the fielder's head. The protective headgear also includes an impact absorption material disposed along an inner surface of the outer protective shell and also an inner cap to be worn beneath the outer protective shell. The inner cap is formed of a breathable material and can be in the form of a skull cap.
