  • Patent number: 10571037
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a positive pressure relief valve having a valve assembly, a trigger mechanism, an inlet manual override knob, and an outlet manual override knob. The valve assembly may comprises a valve throat and a main piston positioned at least partially within the valve throat, the main piston configured to selectively open and close the valve throat as a function of a pressure at the inlet to the valve assembly. The valve assembly may comprise a set of throat inserts within the valve throat. The trigger mechanism serves to quickly pressurize the main piston's diaphragm. The trigger mechanism may be positioned in a trigger mechanism housing at the outlet end of the valve assembly. The inlet and outlet manual override knob may be coupled to the main piston and configured to pull or push the main piston, thereby displacing the main piston to open the valve assembly.

  • Publication number: 20110240154
Abstract: A hydraulic coupling for sub sea applications comprises inter-engageable male and female connectors. The male connector defines a male member for receipt in a chamber defined by the female connector. Each connector has a respective check valve for controlling the flow of fluid through internal bores in the connectors. The check valves are actuable by an actuator between an open position in which hydraulic fluid may flow through the respective internal bore and a closed position in which such flow is interrupted, depending on the distance between the first and second check valves. The male and female connectors are moveable between an uncoupled position in which the check valves are in the closed position and a coupled position in which the male and female connectors are engaged and extend along a longitudinal axis with the male member occupying the chamber of the female connector in a sealed relationship. A pair of seals are provided one on the male member and the other on the in the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20100030628
Abstract: A method of monitoring car parking obtains entry data containing at least one entry record, and exit data containing at least one exit record, wherein each entry/exit record contains a vehicle registration number and an entry/exit time. Entry and exit records that have the same vehicle registration number are matched to produce at least one parking record, wherein each parking record contains a vehicle registration number and an indication of a time stayed. Payment data containing at least one payment record is obtained, wherein each payment record contains a vehicle registration number and an indication of a period of time corresponding to a fee paid. For each parking record, either a payment record is identified that has the same vehicle registration number. It is determined whether the indication of time stayed exceeds the period of time in the identified payment record, or if there is no matching payment record identified.
