  • Publication number: 20240081708
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a self-learning bladder volume monitoring system. The system can include a bladder volume (BV) system configured to measure an electrical impedance of a bladder region of a patient and determine a volume of fluid disposed therein using an impedance to bladder volume model (“By model”). Further, the system can measure a total body water (“TBW”) for the patient and modify the BV model to account for variations in TBW within the tissues surrounding the bladder providing a more accurate bladder volume measurement. The system can include a “training unit” which can include one of a user input interface, an automatic urine output monitoring system, an ultrasound system, and an intrabladder pressure system configured to verify a volume of fluid within or voided from the bladder and train the BV model.

  • Publication number: 20220322606
Abstract: A rake having tine wheels has a coupler configured to attach to the front end loader of a vehicle, such as a tractor. The rake has a series a tine wheels and support elements extend generally forward and outward from the coupler with the tine wheels overlapping to move vegetation toward the center of the rake. The tine wheels and support elements are rotatably mounted around substantially horizontal axes directed generally in the direction of travel for the rake which allows the rake to adapt to terrain. The support elements may also rotate around additional axes that allow the support elements to raise and lower. Some embodiments of the rake have trailing arms with wheels to support the rake while deployed for use. These wheels trail the rake and keep the turning radius nearly the same as the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20070275617
Abstract: A method of making a decorative flame barrier surface covering in which a first material as a base layer is obtained. A stiffening solution is applied to the base layer, and a flame barrier coating is applied to the stiffened base layer. A second material having a decorative design thereon is obtained as a decorative layer. A functional finish is optionally applied on the decorative layer. The base layer is combined with the decorative layer to form the decorative flame barrier surface covering of the present invention. The decorative flame barrier surface covering of the present invention achieves a Class A certification under American Society for Testing and Materials standard E84-04 without an inherently flame-resistant material as the first or second material.

  • Publication number: 20060027052
Abstract: An adjustable rack type crescent wrench that allows the user to quickly and easily change the distance between the jaws of the wrench and then to automatically engage a nut or bolt head when the wrench is in position. The wrench includes an internal spring type mechanism that is engineered and designed to engage one end of the movable jaw assembly so that when the jaw is extended into the open position, it can then be released by the user pressing down on an operator mechanism that releases the worm gear from the rack of the movable jaw which instantly adjusts the distance between the jaws in a manner to securely grasp the flat portions of a nut bolt head or like fastener, while still allowing final, slight, adjustments to the position of the jaws by virtue of the ability to manipulate the sliding jaw with the worm gear.

  • Publication number: 20050286189
Abstract: An automatic power line configuration circuit for coupling a power line signal to a load. The power line signal is coupled to a load via a switching network. A line voltage sensing circuit senses the power line signal and generates one or more relay control signals dependent upon the voltage of the power line signal. The relay control signals are used to configure one or more relays in the switching network.

  • Patent number: 6960011
Abstract: The invention relates to the setting of poured concrete and the need to avoid air pockets and voids within the setting slurry. At least one reinforcing rod, and preferably a grid of rods, is embedded in the poured concrete. The setting slurry is vibrated by vibrating the rod or grid. A vibrator receives the protruding end of the rod and is vibrated to vibrate the rod.

  • Publication number: 20050189040
Abstract: The present invention provides systems and methods for end squaring and/or dividing elongated materials by determining an actual orientation of the elongated material, or an actual position of an associated pair of positioning mechanisms that are contactable with the elongated material, and changing the actual orientation to correspond with a desired orientation through independent movement of the positioning mechanisms prior to or during the end squaring and/or dividing operation.

  • Patent number: 6897412
Abstract: An inward opening oven intake for a gas chromatographic (GC) oven includes an inward opening intake flap that opens into the GC oven near the bottom of the GC oven. Opening at a flap angle, the inward opening intake flap creates a low-pressure region to draw a large amount of airflow into the GC oven during cool-down. In addition, the inward opening oven intake manipulates the airflow within the GC oven to more efficiently draw heat away from the oven walls. This greater efficiency allows for faster cycle time and higher sample throughput.
