Abstract: A ride system may include a ride vehicle having a chassis and a seating area that supports one or more passengers. The ride system may also include an attenuation device mechanically coupled between the seating area and the chassis. The attenuation device may attenuate a first acceleration, relative to a reference frame, of the seating area compared to a second acceleration, relative to the reference frame, of the chassis in response to the first acceleration meeting or exceeding a threshold acceleration.

Abstract: An embodiment of the invention is a method of integrating public and private calendars on a user-specific basis, such that a user is able to view multiple shared calendars created by different users. A system maintains event data relating to a future event, and receives a request to add that event to one of the user's calendars. The system creates a link between that event and the calendar, configuring the link so that updates to the event are automatically reflected on the calendar. It further enables the user to modify attributes associated with the event.

Abstract: A heat protective covering includes a heat-resistant flexible sheet for wrapping around an article that retains heat and interlocking fastening s to secure the wrapped sheet around the article. One part of the interlocking fastening s may be on the article itself. The sheet may define one or more notches to accommodate the contours of the article. The sheet may be defined as a pocket for the article. The heat protective covering may be used for any article that retains heat such as seat belt buckles, outdoor furniture, pool ladders, shopping carts, handles, etc. to substantially prevent burns caused by touching or otherwise contacting the article. The method of using the heat protective coverings is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to furniture, such as cabinets, benches with storage, and armoires, that include at least one chamber that is configured to heat, cool, or alternate between heating and cooling. As such, any or each chamber may be dedicated to heating or keeping items warm; dedicated to cooling or keeping items cool; or configured to heat and cool as desired. Multiple chambers may be provided in any one piece of furniture that are capable of such heating and cooling in any combination. The furniture may also include chambers for traditional storage without heating or cooling capability. The invention is preferably used outdoors for keeping garments and towels warm for swimmers and bathers when configured for heating. Cooling configurations and chambers may be used to keep food and beverages cool.
