    Abstract: A staple implant is for influencing or guiding the growth in bone regions bordering the epiphyseal plate, said staple having a transverse web and anchoring limbs arranged on the ends of the transverse web, running parallel to one another and terminating in points. The anchoring limbs, once inserted into the bone, form fixation points on one side of said bone on either side of the epiphyseal, plate. The transverse web has at least one narrowed zone that can be plastically deformed under a flexural load, said zone having any position and form without abrupt transitions and being situated between the fixation points.
