  • Publication number: 20250122899
Abstract: A fastener for mounting through an aperture of a wall, the aperture having an aperture diameter. The fastener has an inner stud sized to fit through the aperture of the wall, the inner stud having an externally threaded shank, and further having an internally threaded bore. A spiral structure operably connects with the inner stud. An installation tool comprises an elongate body that extends from a proximal end to an externally threaded distal end, wherein the distal end may threadedly engage the internally threaded bore of the inner stud. An outer nut has an inner conduit with an internal thread that may be threadedly engaged with the externally threaded shank of the inner stud.

  • Publication number: 20220042538
Abstract: A fastener device, adapted to be installed on a wall through an aperture of the wall, has an inner stud that is sized to fit through the aperture of the wall, and an outer stud that engages the inner stud. The inner stud has a securing mechanism on an outer surface of the inner stud. A spiral structure has an inner diameter that is sized to receive the inner stud, wherein the inner diameter engages with the securing mechanism of the inner stud. The outer fastener engages the inner stud to compress the spiral structure into a washer-like structure.

  • Patent number: 10927876
Abstract: A rivet nut fastener has a cylindrical nut having a length that extends from a proximal end having an outwardly extending flange, through a central portion, to a distal end; a bore that extends into the nut accessible through an opening at the proximal end to an internally threaded portion of the bore adjacent the distal end of the nut; and a spiral structure mounted on an exterior portion the distal end of the nut. The nut is shaped to be inserted through the aperture, along with the spiral structure, such that the central portion may be compressed so that the length of the nut is reduced, thereby compressing the spiral structure to form a support structure, such that the support structure and the flange together clamp the wall therebetween so that the rivet nut fastener is securely mounted on the wall.

  • Patent number: 9714674
Abstract: A fastener adapted to be mounted through an aperture of a wall has an inner stud, a spiral structure, and an outer fastener. The inner stud is sized to fit through the aperture of the wall and hold the spiral structure. The outer fastener engages the inner stud to compress the spiral structure into a washer-like structure, which supports the fastener on the wall.

  • Patent number: 6340190
Abstract: A tailgate attachment used in combination with a pivoting tailgate of a vehicle, includes a back panel and a pair of side panels having configurations adapted to form a rearward extension of the cargo space. Each of the side panels is pivotally coupled to the back panel. The back panel is attached to the tailgate with a pair of hinge members secured between an inside surface of the tailgate and the back panel. The pair of hinge members are each comprised of first and second securing elements and an intermediate rotating member. The intermediate rotating member rotatably secures the first and second securing elements to each other such that the first panel may be rotated around the pair of hinge members from a stowed position to a loading position, approximately 270 degrees away from the inside surface. The first securing element is preferably attached to the inside surface of the tailgate in proximity to a top edge of the tailgate.
