    Abstract: A method is provided for the automatic generation of maze-like patterns for application to two-dimensional surfaces and three-dimensional objects. The directions of successive incremental steps of a continuous solution path through the maze are stored in an array and the data so stored is used to drive an output device which responds to the data in each cell of the array and in the neighbouring cells on two orthogonal sides thereof.
