  • Publication number: 20240066322
Abstract: Various devices, systems, and methods for performing personalized dosimetry of a patient receiving a radiopharmaceutical are described. In an example method, anatomic data is generated by performing a computed tomography (CT) scan on the patient when they are lying down and wearing a garment. Based on the anatomic data, locations of organs of the patient are determined with respect to one or more fiducial markers integrated with the garment. Detectors for detecting photons from a radiopharmaceutical are placed on the garment based on locations of the organs. Subsequently, the patient may be administered a dose of the radiopharmaceutical. When the patient wears the garment, the detectors may detect photons released from the decaying radiopharmaceutical that is distributed in the organs. The radiation dosage to the organs may be determined based on the detected photons.

  • Patent number: 7421327
Abstract: A drivetrain protection and management system (DPMS) monitors and determines individual wheel speeds to detect wheel spin and slip conditions on a drive axle. Wheel spin is caused by low surface friction, excessive input torque, lack of inter-axle differential and differential locks, excessive operating temperatures, or poor driving techniques. When wheel spin or slip exceeds a threshold, the DPMS automatically controls input torque to the drive axle by controlling engine or retarder torque. In addition to monitoring wheel speeds, the DPMS monitors other vehicle characteristics such as engine torque/speed, transmission ratio, transmission output speed, vehicle speed, throttle position, for example. The DPMS monitors and stores these vehicle characteristics over time and generates a data output that summarizes a history of vehicle operating conditions. The DPMS can communicate this data output real time during vehicle operation, which can be used by a fleet to maximize vehicle performance.

  • Patent number: 6168061
Abstract: A golf ball holder comprising a member having a hook section attachable to the wearing apparel of a user thereof, including a pair of leg portions, and a tray section formed integrally with and projecting laterally from a leg portion of the hook section, the tray section having an upper surface provided with least one recess for receiving and supporting a golf ball therein, having a surface engageable by a ball supported in the recess in an interference-fit relation, and the recess having an opening extending to an underside of the tray section of sufficient cross sectional area to permit a portion of a finger of the user to be inserted therethrough and dislodge a ball supported in the recess to propel the ball into the hand of the user cupped around the tray section.

  • Patent number: 4196156
Abstract: A carburetor choke valve or plate is interconnected to a fast idle cam mechanism by linkage having a lost motion permitting continued operation of the fast idle cam subsequent to the choke plate attaining a wide open position.

  • Patent number: 4129623
Abstract: A carburetor has an eccentrically mounted fast idle cam the axis of rotation of which is moved by an engine intake manifold vacuum actuated servo to automatically decrease throttle valve fast idle position as soon as the engine obtains a running condition from a cold engine start.

  • Patent number: 4114584
Abstract: The choke valve or plate of an automotive type carburetor is provided with a solenoid operated mechanism to positively close the choke plate during engine cranking operations below predetermined temperature levels to assure uniform cold engine starts, a bimetallic coiled spring varying the position of the choke plate as a function of the temperature levels, the solenoid operated mechanism being ineffective to move the choke plate above a predetermined starting temperature.

  • Patent number: 4096212
Abstract: An automotive type carburetor has a choke plate or valve that falls by gravity or is moved by airflow from a closed engine cranking position to a variable number of cold engine running partially closed positions as a function of the differential force between a bimetallic coiled spring and a modulating spring, the positions being independent of engine intake manifold vacuum.

  • Patent number: 3994504
Abstract: An upper sleeve retainer for use on pneumatically driven rivet cutting devices or the like wherein a cutting chisel fits into an upper sleeve in the barrel of the device and is impacted by a driven piston. The retainer includes a sleeve which is quickly detachably secured to the outer end of the barrel and has an inwardly extending flange which extends in front of and prevents the upper sleeve from leaving the barrel. Because the outer diameter of the piston is larger than the inner diameter of the upper sleeve, both the piston and upper sleeve remain in the barrel if the device is triggered.

  • Patent number: 3956434
Abstract: A variable area venturi carburetor has a wall movable by a servo controlled by venturi-like control vacuum to vary the area and thereby change airflow capacity and fuel flow; a tapered fuel metering rod is attached to the wall and cooperates with a stationary fuel jet; during cold engine operation, a temperature responsive device progressively blocks the flow of the control vacuum as the temperature decreases, to permit higher ported manifold vacuum also acting on the servo to open the venturi wider to change the fuel metering signal while withdrawing the fuel metering rod, to provide a change in richness. Return to normal temperature causes the control vacuum to bleed the ported manifold vacuum to the control vacuum level.
