  • Patent number: 7334822
Abstract: A Bimini knot tying assist device having a line twister for twisting together in a pre-designed manner portions of a standing line section and a tag line section of a Bimini knot to form a twist or spiral segment, a movable compression element for axially, proximally, linearly compressing the segment and holding it at a predetermined axial distance from the twister, a slide structure for mounting the twister on an elongated support for allowing limited axial movement therealong of the twister during formation of the knot by an operator wherein the operator applies a forward pulling force on the line sections, and a retraction component connected to the support and to the twister for applying a retraction force to the twister against the forward pulling force applied by an operator to the line sections.

  • Patent number: 6007128
Abstract: A carry-all box for use in combination with a vehicle bed having a floor and first and second sides, the box having an elongated, generally rectangular configuration and having first and second end sections, a front side, a rear side, and a bottom to which the end sections and sides are affixed and extend generally upwardly, a pivot mechanism having a hinge component on the vehicle bed adjacent the first side thereof and a cooperating hinge component on the first end section of the box for allowing the box to pivot in an arc path substantially in a plane parallel to the plane of the bed between a generally lateral forward position and a generally longitudinal rearward position relative to the bed, the end sections, sides and bottom of the box being dimensioned to extend substantially laterally across the bed while allowing the second end section to clear any obstruction which may be in its arc path such as a bed side or wheel well housing.

  • Patent number: 3957050
Abstract: Apparatus for allowing excessive cerebrospinal fluid to drain from within the ventricles of a patient's brain. A hollow tube runs from a typical intraventricular device to a collection bag supported from a base at a selected elevation. The intraventricular device is hollow and is inserted into the ventricles of the patient's brain to allow cerebrospinal fluid to pass from the ventricles of the patient's brain to the intraventricular device, tube and base and into the collection bag. A concentric manometric device is provided to control the pressure of the cerebrospinal fluid passing from the intraventricular device to the collection bag and to allow the patency of the apparatus to be quickly and easily ascertained.
