    Abstract: The present invention comprises a two-ply spinning cot having a relatively hard outer layer and a relatively soft inner layer. A two-ply cot constructed according to this invention will exhibit the resistance to lapping demonstrated by hard cots, yet will produce high quality yarn normally obtainable only by using soft cots.
