    Abstract: An S.A.P. receiver is provided which does not require a conventional television set to obtain the S.A.P. audio. A tuner is coupled to an S.A.P. decoder and the audio program is output to the user. Thus blind and sight-impaired persons can receive S.A.P. programming without having to purchase a complete television receiver that relies on a user's ability to see alphanumeric on-screen menus.
