Publication number: 20240139806Abstract: Techniques for depowdering in additive fabrication are provided. According to some aspects, techniques are provided that separate powder from additively fabricated parts through liquid immersion of the parts. Motion of the liquid, such as liquid currents, may dislodge or otherwise move powder away from additively fabricated parts to which it is adhered or otherwise proximate to. The liquid may also provide a vehicle to carry away powder from the additively fabricated parts. Removed powder may be filtered or otherwise separated from the liquid to allow recirculation of the liquid to the parts and/or to enable re-use of the powder in subsequent additive fabrication processes. Techniques for depowdering through liquid immersion may be automated, thereby mitigating challenges associated with manual depowdering operations.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 1, 2023Publication date: May 2, 2024Applicant: Desktop Metal, Inc.Inventors: Jamison Go, Daniel Sachs, Robert J. Patent number: 11962615Abstract: A system for detecting Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks on one or more user profiles collects a number of invalid sign-on attempts on the one or more user profiles during every time interval. The system determines a number of invalid sign-on attempts on every user profile since the start of the first time interval. The system detects a first DoS attack on a particular user profile if a first number of invalid sign-on attempts on the particular user profile exceeds a single-user profile. The system detects a second DoS attack on multiple user profiles during the first time interval if the increase in the total number of invalid sign-on attempts since the last time interval exceeds a scan-level threshold number. The system detects a third DoS attack on multiple user profiles if the total number of invalid sign-on attempts detected during combined time intervals exceeds a third threshold number.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2021Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: Bank of America CorporationInventors: Xiao Jun Zhang, Neetika Singh, Jesse Deping Meng, Robert Bruce Williams, Joshua Samuel Drucker, Cynthia Diane Dieterich

Patent number: 11951515Abstract: Techniques for depowdering in additive fabrication are provided. According to some aspects, techniques are provided that separate powder from parts by directing gas onto, or near to, the powder. While fragile green parts, such as green parts produced by binder jetting, may be fragile with respect to scraping or impacts, such parts may nonetheless be resistance to damage from directed gas, even if directed at a high pressure. Techniques for depowdering through directed application of gas may be automated, thereby mitigating challenges associated with manual depowdering operations.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 2020Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Desktop Metal, Inc.Inventors: Jamison Go, Michael Santorella, Jonah Samuel Myerberg, Matthew McCambridge, Alexander LeGendre, Joseph Gabay, Robert J. Publication number: 20230228829Abstract: A generation, enhancement, and absorption system for the acquisition of energy from a predetermined chosen environment. The generation, enhancement, absorption system absorbs energy through a process whereby magnetic/electrical fields interact and interlace to create, develop, and support a platform magnetic/electrical energy field that assists and supports in the acquisition of energy from an environment to the generation, enhancement, and absorption system. Coils are used to create magnetic/electrical fields. Ions are placed with the particles in the space surrounding within and without the generation, enhancement, and absorption system. The method of interacting and interlacing of fields creates a platform magnetic/electrical field that moves in a particular direction. The platform magnetic/electrical field starts to access an environmental energy field.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 28, 2022Publication date: July 20, 2023Inventor: Robert Samuel Melodia
