  • Publication number: 20260049944
Abstract: A seal sheet with one or more wear detecting sections. The wear detecting sections provide a way to determine the thickness of the seal sheet. The wear detecting sections comprise: a visually contrasting design element, wherein an amount of the visually contrasting design element increases or decreases during use: a groove having a width that changes during use; at least two grooves having different depth wherein the number of grooves visible changes during use, or combinations thereof.

  • Publication number: 20250050156
Abstract: Processes and apparatuses converting poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). An oxidation reaction zone, preferably a thermal oxidizer, is utilized to oxidize the PFAS into anionic fluoride species. A treatment zone is utilized on at least a portion of the oxidation zone effluent before the oxidation zone effluent is vented or otherwise released to the atmosphere. The treatment zone may include a dry sorbent injection zone; a selective catalytic reduction zone, a wet scrubber zone; a carbon bed; an ion exchange zone; or any combination thereof.

  • Publication number: 20240336510
Abstract: Processes and apparatuses converting poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). An oxidation reaction zone, preferably a thermal oxidizer, is used to oxidize the PFAS into fluoride species. A reaction zone having at least one reactor containing a solid reactant for neutralizing the fluoride species is provided. The solid reactant is also configured to degrade any PFAS remaining in the effluent from the oxidation zone. A cooling zone, for example, a quench zone may be between the reaction zone and the oxidation zone. The PFAS may be liquid PFAS that is injected into the thermal oxidizer.

  • Publication number: 20240189877
Abstract: Processes and apparatuses for converting PFAS. PFAS are heated and introduced to a reactant which will convert the PFAS. The PFAS may be in a stream that is a PFAS enriched stream formed by desorbing the PFAS from an adsorbent which removed the PFAS from a contaminant stream. An effluent from the PFAS conversion reaction is treated in a treatment zone and a treated effluent may be released to the atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20140183281
Abstract: A fluid distribution apparatus includes a distributor pipe configured to carry a fluid and a continuously tapered, ring-shaped collar distributor connected to the distributor pipe. The collar distributor includes a first portion and a second portion, the first portion having a continuous height along its circumference, the continuous height being at least as high as a diameter of the distributor pipe, the second portion extending from either end of the first portion and having a height that continuously tapers along its circumference from a height that is equivalent to the height of the first portion to a second height that is smaller than the height of the first portion. The distributor pipe connects to the collar distributor at the first portion. The apparatus further includes a plurality of inlet nozzles connected to the collar distributor. The second height is at least as great as a diameter of one the plurality of inlet nozzles.

  • Publication number: 20070197108
Abstract: A toy airboat (10) having a negative trim element (38) and an adjustable positive trim element (44) for selectively controlling the performance of the craft in varying environmental conditions such as wind speeds and wave heights. The negative trim element may be smoothly curved protrusions (40) formed integral to the hull (12) in order to avoid snagging debris in water and to allow operation over land without damage to the hull. The protrusions may be symmetrically located on opposed sides of a centerline (CL) of the craft approximately midway between the centerline and a perimeter (16) of the hull. The adjustable positive trim element may be a bolt (46) threaded into a nut (48) affixed to a deck (14) of the craft. The nut extends to make contact with the hull to impart a desired degree of convex curvature to the otherwise generally flat bottom of the hull.

  • Publication number: 20060096175
Abstract: Hydrogen generators and integrated hydrogen generator/fuel cells systems are operated by determining the condition of the hydrogen generator and the condition of the fuel to the hydrogen generator for selection of predetermined flow rates for each of the externally-provided raw materials. The processes of the invention can provide rapid transitions between hydrogen production rates while enabling enhanced efficiency and stability during transient operations.
