  • Patent number: 4667339
Abstract: A logic circuit that has a plurality of stages that are driven by a clock source that provides at least 2 clock signals and includes at least a single latch stage located between two of the plurality of stages is configured with field effect transistor technology. The latch stage includes an isolation means for isolating the preceding circuit of the plurality of stages from flow-through of the clocks and signals that are connected to the latch stage, and a latch circuit for storing the data that is applied to the latch stage between clock pulses. A plurality of latch stages can easily be configured as a shift register latch.

  • Patent number: 4053416
Abstract: A filter press having a number of filter plates, each of which includes a center hole, with a filter cloth hanging over each filter plate. The filter cloths include a corresponding center hole, and a flexible coupling member having a tubular stem with a flanged base, wherein the flanged base is positioned around the hole on one side of the cloth. The tubular stems are inserted within a coupling cylinder which is positioned within the hole of the filter plate. A method is described for hanging the filter cloths onto the filter plate by inserting one of the stems into one end of the coupling cylinder, and then inserting the cylinder into the hole in the filter plate. A tool is then used to reverse the stem of the coupling member of another filter cloth, and then the same tool is removed permitting the restoration of the stem while positioning it within the other end of the coupling cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4028074
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner filter bag for an upright vacuum cleaner comprising an air pervious filter receptacle and an air impervious feed tube interconnected together so that the interior of the filter receptacle is in air-flowing relationship with the interior of the feed tube, where the feed tube is adapted to be connected to the vacuum cleaner. A collar is intermediately disposed within the filter receptacle and secured therein by a clamping ring disposed externally of the filter receptacle in juxtaposition with an upper portion of the collar. An air impervious dust receptacle is removably disposed within a lower portion of the filter receptacle with a mouth portion of the dust receptacle being disposed about a lower end of the collar. A resiliently expandable ring releasably secures the dust receptacle mouth portion about the collar so that the dust receptacle is maintained in an open mouth suspended condition within the filter receptacle to receive and collect debris introduced into the filter receptacle.

  • Patent number: 4022695
Abstract: A filter cloth for a leaf filter of a pressure vessel including a flat retaining sack or bag which encloses the leaf filter. An outlet opening is contained in the sack through which the filtered product can be extracted. A releasable closure device is provided along the greater part of one side edge of the sack to permit removal of the sack from the leaf filter for cleaning and replacement thereof. A reinforcing material is provided at the outlet opening to provide a tight seal about the outlet of the leaf filter. Preferably, the sack is substantially circular but may have any configuration conforming to the shape of the leaf filter.

  • Patent number: 4015961
Abstract: A filter bag which includes an annular thin-walled band having a plurality of discrete resilient tabs extending from its outer surface along two axially separated paths. A flexible collar is secured to the outer surface of the band and conforms to the shape of the tabs to provide discrete protrusions along the two paths. The band and collar assembly is secured to one end of the filter bag. The end of the filter bag can snugly fit into a socket of a cooperating member, whereby a portion of the socket is positioned in the space between the two separated paths and is retained by the protrusions disposed on either side thereof. The retained portion of the socket includes an enclosed annular ring.

  • Patent number: 3992748
Abstract: A carpeting tool for a broom-type vacuum cleaner comprising a hollow rake. The hollow rake includes a plurality of spaced hollow open-ended teeth and a plurality of spaced air passage openings interposed respectively between certain of the teeth. The hollow rake further has a pair of oppositely extending lateral hollow flange portions and a nozzle integral with and intermediary of the flange portions. The flange portions have a lowermost lateral surface from which extend the hollow teeth, and in which are formed the air passage openings. A pair of spaced apart rollers are mounted between the teeth, and extend below the open ends of the teeth to support the combined weight of the tool and vacuum cleaner when the tool is attached to the vacuum cleaner for use thereof. The rollers permit the tool to ride smoothly along the carpeting without abruptly snagging the carpeting.

  • Patent number: 3973936
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner filter bag is made of a porous sheet of material which permits penetration and flow therethrough of air. The bag is generally horseshoe-shaped and has a comparably shaped internal cavity. The bag has two tubular leg portions and a tubular connecting portion between the leg portions. An air inlet opening is provided on the connecting portion for admitting a stream of air under pressure into the cavity and an opening, which permits removal of accumulated debris but which is closed during use of the bag, is also provided on the connecting portion. The air flow between the air inlet opening on the vacuum cleaner housing and the inlet opening of an exhaust motor situated within the vacuum cleaner housing generally tends to primarily penetrate or flow through a wall portion of the bag disposed between the respective inlet air openings.
