  • Publication number: 20250093432
Abstract: A method for determining an external magnetic field with an NV magnetometer includes recording single resonance signals for determining resonance frequencies by using frequency-modulated microwave radiation emitted onto a sensor material in frequency bands based on a microwave frequency and a carrier frequency, recording a double resonance signal with a dispersive form and a linear range around the resonance frequencies, determining a slope of the linear range as a scalar factor from the double resonance signal, observing a detuning of the resonance frequencies via the double resonance signal with resonant emission of the microwave radiation due to external magnetic field changes, controlling the frequency bands based on the observed detuning so that the frequency bands remain in the range of the resonance frequencies present at the detuning even after the detuning has occurred, and determining the external magnetic field from a distance of the frequency bands and the detuning ?B.

  • Publication number: 20250093435
Abstract: A magnetic field gradiometer includes two spatially spaced-apart measurement regions including color centers in a diamond, which emit fluorescence upon excitation by an excitation light, a first detector for detecting the fluorescence from a first measurement region, a second detector for detecting the fluorescence from a second measurement region, a first microwave emitter for applying a first microwave field to the first measurement region, a second microwave emitter for applying a second microwave field to the second measurement region, an evaluation device configured to determine a magnetic field gradient based on the detected fluorescence from the first and the second measurement regions, and a signal generator unit configured to generate a first and a second microwave signals for the first and the second microwave emitters, respectively. Each of the first and the second microwave signals includes two frequency components with a phase offset of ? with respect to one another.

  • Patent number: 9851111
Abstract: Thermal targeting technology is used to continuously adjust boiler target temperature to the minimum necessary to satisfy the required heating load. Responsive to and initiated by a first call for heat, boiler target temperature is reduced by a predetermined amount upon or subsequent to the call for heat. Once the boiler temperature reaches this new target, a call timer is activated. If demand for heat is satisfied before a time set point is reached, the system ceases providing additional heat energy until the next heat demand. Responsive to and initiated by a next call for heat, the boiler target temperature is again reduced by the predetermined amount upon or subsequent to this next call for heat. Each time the heat demand is satisfied within the predetermined time interval, the boiler target temperature is reduced. If heat demand is not satisfied, a thermal boost is provided at set time intervals until the call for heat is removed.

  • Patent number: 9463671
Abstract: A vehicle pneumatic tire has a two-layer belt and a tread having profile grooves within width TW 45. The maximum depth of the profile grooves varies within TW 45 and the tread has an outer contour defined by reference to rolling radius differences. The maximum depth of the grooves within a center region of TW 45 is the same. The maximum depth of the grooves in the shoulder region is a maximum of 2 mm less than in the center region. The outer contour of the tread in the center region is made flat so that the outer contour radius difference (ArdM) between the zenith and the center region axial end is less than 1 mm, and the outer contour of the tread in the transition region is configured so that the outer contour radius difference (Ards) between the zenith and the transition is 3 mm to 5 mm.
