  • Patent number: 11787694
Abstract: Disclosed are apparatuses, systems, methods, and devices for generating hydrogen pyrolysis of hydrocarbons (methane, diesel, JP8, etc.) in a reactor. The reactor includes multiple channels in parallel. A hydrocarbon flows in a channel and decomposes into hydrogen and carbon. Hydrogen gas flows out and some of the carbon will deposit on the channel wall. Once carbon deposition reaches a predetermined level, the hydrocarbon flow stops, and air or oxygen is caused to flow into the channels to oxidize carbon into carbon monoxide or carbon dioxide and supply heat to neighboring channels. Simultaneously, the hydrocarbon will flow into neighboring channels causing decomposition into hydrogen and carbon in the neighboring channels. When the carbon coating in the neighboring channels reaches a predetermined level, the gas flow is switched again to air or oxygen. In this way, each channel alternates between decomposing the hydrocarbon and oxidizing the deposited carbon.

  • Patent number: 7899330
Abstract: At least one diffraction element is used to diffract light of multiple wavelengths into different wavelength components. Instead of moving the diffraction element as in certain prior filters, light from the at least one element is reflected back towards the at least one element so that light is diffracted at least twice by the at least one element. The reflection is such that at least one selected wavelength component of said wavelength components will pass from an input port to an output port or to another device.

  • Publication number: 20070002921
Abstract: A laser device which may be used as an oscillator or amplifier comprising a chamber having a volume formed therein and a gain medium within the volume. The gain medium comprises a solid-state element containing active laser ion within the volume. A cooling fluid flows about the solid-state element and a semiconductor laser diode provides optical pump radiation into the volume of the laser chamber such that laser emission from the device passes through the gain medium and the fluid. The laser device provides the advantages of a solid-state gain medium laser (e.g., diode-pumping, high power density, etc), but enables operation at higher average power and beam quality than would be achievable from a pure solid-state medium.

Abstract: A laser device which may be used as an oscillator or amplifier comprising a chamber having a volume formed therein and a gain medium within the volume. The gain medium comprises solid-state elements containing active laser ion distributed within the volume. A cooling fluid flows about the solid-state elements and a semiconductor laser diode provides optical pump radiation into the volume of the laser chamber such that laser emission from the device passes through the gain medium and the fluid. The laser device provides the advantages of a solid-state gain medium laser (e.g., diode-pumping, high power density, etc), but enables operation at higher average power and beam quality than would be achievable from a pure solid-state medium.

  • Patent number: 6600666
Abstract: A holding device for a cable harness is designed in such a way that the cable harness, which is attached on one side to a printed circuit board, remains undamaged during transportation of the printed circuit board to a final assembly location. A plug connector attached to the printed circuit board has dome-shaped latching elements, and a unit plug attached to a free other end of the cable harness has corresponding counter latching elements as direct parts of the holding device. By snapping the counter latching elements onto the latching elements, the unit plug is attached to the plug connector, and the holding device for the cable harness is closed. At the final assembly location, the counter latching elements are nondestructively detached from the latching elements by pulling the unit plug off of the plug connector, and the holding device is reopened from the secured transport position for the cable harness. The holding device is preferably intended for use in the automobile industry.
