  • Patent number: 5904299
Abstract: A housing body of a fuel injector has a multi-part design; it includes a base member and at least one calibrating sleeve. Air is supplied and metered in through the calibrating sleeve, while the base member is used for sealing and attachment purposes. A dimensionally accurate machining of calibrating sleeves can be carried out simply and cost-effectively. The structural design easily yields many different variants. The fuel injector is especially suited for fuel-injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines having externally supplied ignition.

  • Patent number: 5687468
Abstract: The process for manufacturing a magnetic circuit for a valve represents a particularly cost-effective version with minimized material use. For this purpose, a single-part valve housing has a groove, where a non-magnetic intermediate ring is placed. An axial pressing force is applied on the intermediate ring using a pressing tool, radially displacing the material of the intermediate ring and the valve housing. With a simple machining operation, valve house material is removed from an opening, so that the internal field and the valve jacket are spatially separated from the components obtained from the valve housing by the intermediate ring. The magnetic circuit thus manufactured is particularly well suited for fuel injection valves for fuel injection systems of internal combustion working with an externally ignited compressed mixture.

  • Patent number: 5093548
Abstract: A method of forming a high precision through hole in a workpiece with a laser beam consists in forming a through hole having a hole section with a diameter equal to a nominal diameter of the through hole, and a hole section with a diameter which is bigger than the nominal diameter of the through hole.

  • Patent number: 5089685
Abstract: Measurements of a value of throughgoing openings and workpieces produced during drilling with energy radiation, and particularly laser radiation are performed by producing each opening by several successive energy pulses with focal points offset relative to an axis of the opening, and determining measuring values from a fluid which passes through the throughgoing opening and is supplied to an opening region of the workpiece with a predetermined, constant pressure.
