The retrieval apparatus further comprising a plurality of wires with a first end anchored in said holes in said first plug, and a second end with plastic sleeves attached, the second end of the wires being oriented in a conical array. The wires may be placed in a first position which exposes the wires outside the shaft by less than fifty percent of their length and also in a second position which exposes the wires by more than fifty percent of their length outside the shaft.

    Abstract: An ear shield assembly which attaches to various headgear and protects the users ears against the sun and ultra violet rays, thereby reducing the probability of inducing cancer in this normally sensitive and exposed area. The head gear is typically a cap with the protective ear shield attachments positioned on opposite sides of the cap. These ear shields are placed above the ears and may be folded up against the cap and secured to the side of the cap with hood and loop material when they are not in use. When in use, these shields are lowered and extended outward horizontally from the brim of the cap, allowing air to reach the users ears, while at the same time blocking the sunlight from reaching the ears.

    Abstract: An apparatus for securing a removable component in a computer system includes a chassis for receiving the removable component. A resilient member is connected to the component and a handle is also connected to the component. The handle is movable to an open position and to a closed position. A catch is formed on the handle and the catch is engaged by the resilient member on the chassis to retain the handle in the closed position. A release member is connected to the handle. The release member is movable to deflect the resilient member so that the resilient member is disengaged from the catch to permit the handle to be moved to the open position.

    Abstract: An apparatus for securing a component in a computer system. The component is mounted in the chassis of the computer system. The apparatus includes a retaining bracket connected to the chassis of the computer system and a handle connected at a first end thereof to the component. The handle has a first and a second protrusion formed at the first end and has a recess formed between the first and second protrusions. The first protrusion engages the retaining bracket at a first surface thereof to limit the component to a first insertion depth in response to the component being removably inserted into the chassis with the handle in an open position. The second protrusion engages the retaining bracket at a second surface thereof and translates the component to a second insertion depth in response to the handle being moved to a closed position. The recess is configured to establish a clearance between the recess and the retaining member during movement of the handle between the open and closed position.
