  • Patent number: 8651863
Abstract: The present invention is a dental implant system that has a band of connective tissue rings and grooves on an external surface of the dental implant system. The connective tissue band grooves have a depth of from greater than about 25 ?m to about 600 ?m. The dental implant system is designed to minimize tissue loss and to reduce the risk of bacterial infection in the implant site.

  • Publication number: 20060263748
Abstract: The present invention is a dental implant system that has a band of connective tissue rings and grooves on an external surface of the dental implant system. The connective tissue band grooves have a depth of from about 30 ?m to about 400 ?m. The dental implant system is designed to minimize tissue loss and to reduce the risk of bacterial infection in the implant site.

  • Publication number: 20060063133
Abstract: A dental implant having threads on the exterior surface that maintain an essentially constant number of turns per axial inch but vary in depth within a proximal section relative to a distal section on the implant is described. Near a distal end of the implant, the threads have a relatively shallow depth. Near a proximal end, the threads have a depth about twice as deep as near the distal end. Optionally, the implant may include a coating to facilitate anchoring on the proximal end threads. Further, the implant may be self-tapping or it may be tapered.
