  • Patent number: 11681723
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for modeling a non-relational database as a normalized relational database. In one embodiment, the system identifies a column having a first type in a column-oriented, non-relational database; determines whether the column-oriented, non-relational database includes at least one column having a second type and identifies the one or more columns having the second type; virtually divides the column-oriented, non-relational database based on column type; and generates a normalized, relational model based on the virtual division of the column-oriented, non-relational database, the normalized, relational model including catalog information representing a parent table including the column having the first type and, when the column-oriented, non-relational database includes at least one column having the second type, catalogue information representing a child table, the parent table and child table both represented as relational tables.

  • Patent number: 11636744
Abstract: This disclosure includes technologies for action recognition in general. The disclosed system may automatically detect various types of actions in a video, including reportable actions that cause shrinkage in a practical application for loss prevention in the retail industry. Further, appropriate responses may be invoked if a reportable action is recognized. In some embodiments, a three-branch architecture may be used in a machine learning model for action and/or activity recognition. The three-branch architecture may include a main branch for action recognition, an auxiliary branch for learning/identifying an actor (e.g., human parsing) related to an action, and an auxiliary branch for learning/identifying a scene related to an action. • Patent number: 11616774
Abstract: Described are methods and systems to identify unauthorized attempts to access an account in a computer system, the account having an authorized user. The methods and systems include determining that a count of failed attempts to access the account exceeds a maximum. Based on the count exceeding the maximum, one or more peer contacts associated with the authorized user are retrieved from stored user data. A failure attribution request is transmitted to the one or more peer contacts and a response is received from at least one of the one or more peer contacts. If the response denies that the authorized user caused the failed attempts, then a security action is taken with respect to the account. The method may include first confirming that the number of failure attributions requests sent has not exceeded an abuse threshold to prevent denial-of-service attacks.
