Publication number: 20250331981Abstract: An endoprosthesis configured to shift between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration may include a tubular scaffold formed from a single filament knitted about a central longitudinal axis and defining a length from a proximal end to a distal end, the tubular scaffold including a plurality of rows of loops and a plurality of rows of rungs arranged around the central longitudinal axis in an alternating fashion; and a polymeric covering extending along the tubular scaffold. Each row of loops and each row of rungs extends longitudinally along the tubular scaffold between the proximal end and the distal end. The tubular scaffold includes a first cutout region extending along a majority of the length of the tubular scaffold and a second cutout region extending along a majority of the length of the tubular scaffold. The polymeric covering is uninterrupted along the first cutout region and the second cutout region.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 8, 2025Publication date: October 30, 2025Applicant: BOSTON SCIENTIFIC SCIMED, INC.Inventors: Martin Burke, Daniel Tuck, Molly Solomon, Robert Sears

Publication number: 20240189097Abstract: A valve assembly for a medical device that includes an enclosure to store an agent, a funnel coupled to the enclosure, and configured to receive the agent via an opening of the enclosure, and a valve fluidly coupled to the enclosure and the funnel. The valve is at least partially disposed between the enclosure and the funnel, and at least a portion of the agent is received on the valve. The valve is configured to move from a first position to a second position relative to the enclosure and the funnel to selectively release the agent from the enclosure into the funnel. In the first position, the valve is configured to close the opening and inhibit the agent from exiting the enclosure and entering the funnel. In the second position, the valve is configured to open the opening and release the agent from the enclosure for delivery into the funnel.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2023Publication date: June 13, 2024Applicant: Boston Scientific Scimed, Inc.Inventors: Hannah REBAR, John B. Publication number: 20070231767Abstract: Force magnitudes and/or directions may be determined objectively using orthodontic brackets having an elastomeric member which allows one portion of the bracket to be resiliently moveable relative to at least on other portion of the bracket. In a preferred embodiment, the brackets include a lower base member, an upper bracket member, and an elastomeric layer interposed between the lower base and upper bracket members. The orthodontic bracket is advantageously employed as part of a system whereby the orthodontic bracket includes a force indicator which distorts in response to relative movement between the at least one and other portions of the bracket to provide an indication of force applied to the bracket. An optical detector may be provided to optically detect the indicator and issue an output signal indicative of the relative resilient movement between the lower base and upper bracket members.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 10, 2005Publication date: October 4, 2007Inventors: Robert Sears, William Trimmer

Publication number: 20070023294Abstract: Microreactors (10) and methods for generating hydrogen peroxide are disclosed. More specifically, microreactors (10) and methods are provided for the batchwise generation of hydrogen peroxide in which respective hydrogen and oxygen electrolysis chambers, and a hydrogen peroxide reaction chamber is fluid-connected to and positioned physically between, the electrolysis chambers. In specially preferred embodiments, the hydrogen peroxide microreactor (10) of the present invention will be in the form of a silicon chip reactor body having a pair of electrolysis channels (14-1, 14-2), reactant channel (14-3) positioned between the electrolysis channels, and at least one (preferably several) connector channel(s) (14-4) which fluid-connect(s) the pair of electrolysis channels (14-1, 14-2) with said reactant channel (14-3). A pair of electrodes (16-1, 16-2) is provided so that each is in operative association with a respective one of the electrolysis channels (14-1, 14-2).Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2004Publication date: February 1, 2007Applicant: AZALEA WAY CONSUMER PRODUCTS LLCInventors: William Trimmer, Robert Sears
