  • Publication number: 20120040014
Abstract: Nutritional supplement formulations suitable for specific enhancement of cell and mitochondrial function comprise enriched formulations of phospholipids and chemical precursors containing specifically identified concentrations of phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidic acid and phosphatidylcholine, and mitochondrial and cell membrane phospholipid molecules as well as other desirable constituents. Methods of enriching extracted sources of cell and mitochondrial membrane molecules and precursors from microbes, plants and other sources are also set forth. The formulae can be combined with nutritional, prebiotic, and probiotic (microbial) factors that increase bioavailability through the digestive tract and increase absorption at the cellular and subcellular levels. These lipid combinations can be used to treat mitochondrial disorders associated with medical pathologies, chronic illnesses and syndromes, or to maintain lipid balance for normal mitochondrial function, and can be administered in many different forms.

  • Patent number: 4756337
Abstract: A kit comprising materials for sealing leaks in low-pressure gas lines. The kit contains, (a) optionally, a container of corrosion-resistant primer composition; and (b) a special laminated tape comprising a ply of rubber such as neoprene and a ply of pressure-sensitive conformable polyer-based adhesive material based on, e.g., ethylene-propylene rubber, and (c) a seal restraining fabric impregnated with a curable resin such as moisture-curable polyurethane which is characterized by good shelf life and a controlled curing speed when subjected to moisture. The tape of the invention also relates to the novel protective patch structures which are formed by use of the kit material.

  • Patent number: 4681986
Abstract: A kit comprising materials for protecting splices of electrical cables. Such splices as must be maintained underground between cables used in providing cathodic protection against corrosion to buried pipelines. The kit contains (a) a malleable butyl rubber composition having good low-temperature brittleness and exhibiting some cold flow characteristics, (b) a restraining fabric impregnated with a curable resin such as moisture-curable polyurethane which is characterized by good shelf life and a controlled curing speed when subjected to moisture. The invention also relates to the novel protected spliced structures which are formed by use of the kit material.
