Publication number: 20230134400Abstract: A component management server computer (“server”) and processing methods are disclosed. In some embodiments, the server is programmed to continuously receive input data regarding what is happening in the physical room from one or more input devices. The server is programmed to then detect an utterance of a spoken word from the input data and generate one or more sound metrics based on the input data. Based on the sound metrics as applied to certain criteria, the server is programmed to activate a component, such as an input device, variable, software system, or output device, and cause one or more output devices to execute an action that alerts a user of the activated component. The server can also be programmed to turn on, off, up, or down any of the components based on the activated component.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 3, 2021Publication date: May 4, 2023Inventors: Mohammad Niknazar, Aditya Vempaty, Robert Smith, Amol Nayate, Javier Villafana, Ravindranath Kokku, Shom Ponoth, Sharad Sundararajan, Satya Nitta

Publication number: 20230130476Abstract: A local delivery service (LDS) operates in an enterprise computer network as a proxy for a communications server (CS) computer operating in a cloud computing environment. The LDS pulls a queue repository maintained by the CS and retrieves an output item flagged by the CS for local delivery. The output item has a document and associated configuration information specifying an application domain in the cloud computing environment and delivery settings specific to the application domain maintained by the CS. The LDS translates the delivery settings and routes the document to the connectors of communications channels of the enterprise computer network. In this way, documents produced by the CS in the cloud can be delivered locally to disparate destinations on the enterprise computer network without having to open individual ports in a firewall of the enterprise computer network to connect the CS with communications channels of the enterprise computer network.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 19, 2022Publication date: April 27, 2023Inventors: Christian Askland, Robert Smith, Christian Wessman

Publication number: 20230124439Abstract: Disclosed fluid reservoirs include closure mechanisms for sealing an upper opening of the reservoir. The reservoir can have plates adjacent the upper opening. When the upper end of the reservoir is folded, the plates can be positioned on opposite sides, and a closure frame can be slid over the plates to pressure them together. The plates can have pins that engage with slots in the closure frame, and a separate closure lock can be slid over the end of the closure frame to prevent the pins from exiting the slots. The plates can also bias the opening open when the closure is not engaged. Also disclosed are flexible fluid reservoirs that include structural elements, such as baffles, that help retain a desired shape of the reservoir when filled or empty. Some baffles can be elastically deformable to allow flattening and expansion of the bladder while biasing toward a neutral position.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 16, 2022Publication date: April 20, 2023Applicant: TSI Manufacturing, LLCInventors: Matthew Hoskins, Robert Smith

Publication number: 20230080322Abstract: Methods and systems for establishing a chain of relationships are disclosed. An identity verification platform receives a first request for registration comprising an identification of a first user, identification of an entity, and a relationship between the first user and the entity; verifies the identity of the first user and the relationship between the first user and the entity; and verifies that the entity is legitimate. Once a relationship between a first individual, invited by the first user, and the entity is confirmed, the platform creates a custom badge representing the relationship between the first individual and the entity for display on the entity's website. The platform receives an identification of a selection by an end user of the custom badge and, responsive to receiving the identification of the selection, renders, on a domain controlled by the identity verification platform, a verification that the relationship between the first individual and the entity is valid.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 10, 2022Publication date: March 16, 2023Applicant: Civic Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Jonathan Robert Smith, Daniel Kelleher

Patent number: 11595433Abstract: Embodiments provide system and methods for a DDoS service using a mix of mitigation systems (also called scrubbing centers) and non-mitigation systems. The non-mitigation systems are less expensive and thus can be placed at or near a customer's network resource (e.g., a computer, cluster of computers, or entire network). Under normal conditions, traffic for a customer's resource can go through a mitigation system or a non-mitigation system. When an attack is detected, traffic that would have otherwise gone through a non-mitigation system is re-routed to a mitigation system. Thus, the non-mitigation systems can be used to reduce latency and provide more efficient access to the customer's network resource during normal conditions. Since the non-mitigation servers are not equipped to respond to an attack, the non-mitigation systems are not used during an attack, thereby still providing protection to the customer network resource using the mitigation systems.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2021Date of Patent: February 28, 2023Assignee: Level 3 Communications, LLCInventors: Robert Smith, Shawn Marek, Christopher Newton

Patent number: 11586800Abstract: A document production system may construct a document from fragments based on a theme associated with the document. The theme may contain section(s), each section having an access control list (ACL) associated therewith. The ACL may specify role-based user group(s) and permission(s) for the role-based user group(s). The system may evaluable rules applicable to the document. At least one rule may pertain to the ACL(s). The evaluation may include, at least in part, utilizing user login information received over a network from a client device. In constructing the document, the system may assemble the document in accordance with the rules and utilizing the fragments and meta information that describes the document. The system may render the document thus assembled utilizing the ACL, generate a view of the document, and communicate the view of the document over the network to the client device for presentation on the client device.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 2021Date of Patent: February 21, 2023Assignee: OPEN TEXT SA ULCInventors: Johan Lorensson, Christian Wessman, Sverker Wendelöv, Robert Smith
