  • Publication number: 20220072006
Abstract: Pharmaceutical compositions of the invention include substituted riluzole pro drugs useful for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and related disorders through the release of riluzole, especially to avoid patient to patient variability in first pass, hepatic metabolism promoted by Cyp 1A2. Pro-drugs of riluzole have enhanced stability to hepatic metabolism and are delivered into systemic circulation by oral administration, and then cleaved to release riluzole in the plasma via either an enzymatic or general biophysical release process. The invention further includes pro-drugs of riluzole useful for the treatment of disease states that can be treated with riluzole through the release of riluzole from a pro-drug agent.

  • Patent number: 11263383
Abstract: A document architecture system includes an intelligent document processing engine that can receive raw data streamed from external data source(s), analyze the raw data to identify triggering events, apply rules to the triggering events identified, break down the raw data accordingly, and generating messages in an internal format to represent the pieces of data without any formatting or layout information. The messages can be augmented with custom metadata and stored as fragments that reference, but that do not physically incorporate, the messages. The stored fragments can be used by the document process engine to intelligently render documents and versions thereof. Some embodiments store only unique fragments, resulting in a significant reduction in storage requirements and an extremely efficient way of processing huge amounts of data (e.g., millions of documents) for document production. The messages and fragments are in internal formats under control of the document architecture system.

  • Publication number: 20220015529
Abstract: Disclosed fluid reservoirs include closure mechanisms for sealing an upper opening of the reservoir. The reservoir can have plates adjacent the upper opening. When the upper end of the reservoir is folded, the plates can be positioned on opposite sides, and a closure frame can be slid over the plates to pressure them together. The plates can have pins that engage with slots in the closure frame, and a separate closure lock can be slid over the end of the closure frame to prevent the pins from exiting the slots. The plates can also bias the opening open when the closure is not engaged. Also disclosed are flexible fluid reservoirs that include structural elements, such as baffles, that help retain a desired shape of the reservoir when filled or empty. Some baffles can be elastically deformable to allow flattening and expansion of the bladder while biasing toward a neutral position.

  • Patent number: 11216714
Abstract: A method and apparatus for identifying a location of a radio-frequency identification tag. A hand-held locator device is configured to transmit a first signal and a second signal. A frequency of the first signal changes through a first range of frequencies and is transmitted in a range of directions corresponding to the first range of frequencies. A frequency of the second signal changes through a second range of frequencies and is transmitted in the range of directions corresponding to the second range of frequencies. A difference frequency signal, having a frequency that is a difference between the frequency of the first signal and the frequency of the second signal, is received from the radio-frequency identification tag. The difference frequency signal is processed to determine and display a direction of the radio-frequency identification tag from the locator device.
