  • Publication number: 20110058072
Abstract: Systems and methods for camera sensor correction are disclosed. In an exemplary embodiment, a method may include sampling a spectral response for a plurality of color channels at different spatial locations on a sensor. The method may also include applying a 4×4 color correction matrix at the different spatial locations in an image captured by the sensor. The method may also include converting the spectral response at each spatial location to match the spectral response of the sensor at any one location on the image.

  • Patent number: 7755671
Abstract: A method is provided for correcting a captured image. The method comprises determining an illuminant for the captured image. When the determined illuminant matches a reference illuminant the image is corrected with a reference inversion mask. When the determined illuminant matches a first extreme illuminant, the reference inversion mask is modified using a first set of reference point ratios that corresponds to the first extreme illuminant and the image is corrected with the modified inversion mask. When the determined illuminant does not match the first extreme illuminant, a set of reference point ratios are calculated for the determined illuminant. The reference inversion mask is modified using the calculated set of reference point ratios and the image is corrected with the modified inversion mask.

  • Publication number: 20060170781
Abstract: An electronic image capture device including an image capture array, an optional image stabilization gyro, a processor, and a display is configured to detect the amount shaking of the device either prior to, or during image capture. When the shaking of the device exceeds a threshold required for the capture of quality images, the user of the image capture device is notified through the display that excessive shake has been detected and may be advised on methods to reduce or eliminate the shake.
