Abstract: A heat deflecting assembly for open flame heat sources such as fire pits and camp fires includes a first pipe that has a first end. The first end is configured to couple to a substantially horizontal surface. A deflector is coupled to and extends from a second end of the first pipe. The first pipe and the deflector comprise metal. The deflector is configured to horizontally redirect heat that radiates upwardly from proximate to the first end of the first pipe.
