The whip arm rotates about the whip arm pivot point through a range of motion defined at one end by a fully retracted position, at the other end by a fully extended position, and at least one operating position between the fully retracted and the fully extended position.     Abstract: A turbine blade that may include an airfoil and a blade dovetail, the blade dovetail being shaped corresponding to a dovetail slot in a turbine disk. The blade dovetail may include a dovetail backcut sized and positioned according to blade geometry to maximize a balance between stress reduction on the disk, stress reduction on the blade, a useful life of the turbine blade, and maintaining or improving the aeromechanical behavior of the turbine blade. A start point of the dovetail backcut, which defines a length of the dovetail backcut along a dovetail axis, may be determined relative to a datum line positioned a fixed distance from a forward face of the blade dovetail along a centerline of the dovetail axis. The start point of the dovetail backcut may be at least approximately 1.539 inches in an aft direction from the datum line.

    Abstract: A ceramic heater coil support bracket, suitable for use in a clothes dryer, supports a helically wound heating coil in spaced apart relation from a support surface or wall. The bracket includes a base adapted for securement to the support surface and a pair of spaced apart arms upstanding from the base defining an open slot extending across the bracket in a transverse direction above the base. Each of the arms includes a coil support post having an arrowhead shape extending inwardly toward of the slot. Each of the posts includes inner and outer coil receiving grooves adapted to receive consecutive turns of the coil. The posts are laterally offset from each other in the transverse direction of the slot so that the posts support different consecutive turns of the coil. The posts have a relatively flat upper surface having an arrowhead shape projecting into the slot with sloping inside and outside surfaces of the arrowhead tapering outwardly and downwardly from the top surface.

    Abstract: A clothes dryer temperature control system or circuit is provided with a thermally biased thermostat adjacent to the air outlet of the drying drum. Further, a thermally biased control thermostat is provided adjacent the air inlet of the dryer drum. The two thermostats are controlled through a multiple contact switch controller which allows the dryer to operate in a high heat, medium heat, low heat, and damp dry heating cycles. Additionally, in a gas dryer embodiment a trimmer thermostat is located in circuit with the thermally biased resistor of the thermally biased air inlet thermostat so as to decrease the response time of this thermostat on its first cycle to prevent damage to clothing during initial operation of a gas dryer.

    Abstract: This invention relates to a thermostat mounting arrangement suitable for use in a clothes dryer. Thermostat mounting arrangement includes a thermostat mounted to engage the inner and outer opposing sides of a surface supporting portion of the clothes dryer to sense temperature conditions in the clothes dryer. The mounting arrangement is characterized by an aperture passing through the surface supporting portion. The aperture has an enlarged central opening with four projection tab members extending into the central opening and two diametrically opposed slots extending radially outward from the central opening. The thermostat includes a temperature sensitive flat surface adapted for positioning within the central opening of the aperture slightly beyond the inner surface of the surface supporting portion of the clothes dryer. The thermostat has two resilient wings each having an arm extending generally toward and through a corresponding slot of the aperture.

Another embodiment of the lamp includes at least two user selectable light spectra, one of said spectra providing white light with color temperature in the range 4000° K-6000° K and one spectra having reduced output in the wavelength range 400-500 nm.
