  • Publication number: 20240097432
Abstract: An industrial system includes a load control assembly, an integrated absence of voltage tester (AVT), and an absence of voltage indicator. The load control assembly has a supply input, a load output, a disconnecting device, and a load controller coupled to the load output, with the disconnecting device coupled between the supply input and the load controller. The AVT is integrated into one of the disconnecting device and the load controller, and the AVT configured to detect an absence of an operating voltage of the load control assembly. The absence of voltage indicator is coupled to the AVT and configured to indicate the absence of an operating voltage of the load control assembly detected by the AVT.

  • Publication number: 20240075569
Abstract: A system and method for transferring a part being machined by a machine from a first fixture to a second fixture so that an un-machined side of the part can be exposed for machining, where the first fixture is secured to a first actuator and the second fixture is secured to a second actuator. The method includes securing the part to the first fixture, operating the first actuator so that the part is able to be machined on sides of the part except a side of the part coupled to the first fixture, and machining the part while the part is secured to the first fixture. The method operates the first actuator and the second actuator so that the part secured to the first fixture is aligned with the second fixture, and secures the part to the second fixture and releases the part from the first fixture.

  • Patent number: 10880599
Abstract: A method of processing media output events, each having a corresponding duration, from a plurality of media content receivers within a media distribution system, comprises: a. dividing the output events into a plurality of segments, such that output events having similar properties are placed into the same one of said segments; b. within each said segment, identifying a long duration threshold based on the distribution of the durations of the output events within that segment; c. and applying the long duration thresholds of each said segment for control and/or analysis of the media distribution system.

  • Patent number: 8702236
Abstract: A binocular pupillometer apparatus is provided with processing means to calculate the relative afferent pupillary defect (RAPD) in a subject. The RAPD is calculated as the shift required to bring the two pupillary responses of the left and right eyes into coincidence. Where the responses are not parallel, modified pupillary responses are determined having the same area difference between the responses and an average rate of change with respect to stimulation intensity. The RAPD is calculated from the modified pupillary responses rather than the observed responses. Improvements to the pupillometer include a divider positioned between the left and right stimulating channels.

  • Publication number: 20120180838
Abstract: A method of erecting a tent includes a plurality of beam members comprising a roof portion and a pair of leg portions. A plurality of base members are securedly fixed to the ground surface. The beam assembly leg portions are pivotally coupled to the base members, pivoted to a vertical position, and secured to the base member to prevent further pivoting of the beam assembly. Extendable purlins couple adjacent beam assemblies to one another. A single piece fabric panel extends between the full length of a pair of adjacent beam assemblies. The fabric panels are tensioned by expanding the plurality of extendable purlins to increase the distance between the adjacent beam assemblies. Fabric panel tensioning is sequenced from the center of the structure outward.

  • Patent number: 7625087
Abstract: Pupillometric apparatus for assessing pupillary near reflex in a subject incorporates a visible fixation point which is moveable between near and far positions and which is viewable through an eyepiece via an accomodation lens positioned between the eyepiece and the near position. The focal length of the accomodation lens exceeds the distance of the lens from both the near and far positions of the fixation point, so that the subject always observes virtual images in respect of the fixation point. In this way the distance between observed virtual positions of the fixation point at its near and far positions exceeds the actual distance between these positions. Binocular pupillometric apparatus in which images of the left and right pupils of a subject are rapidly and alternately transmitted to the same part of a single image sensor and signal data so obtained are processed to generate separated image data representative of the dimensions of the left and right pupils is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7395077
Abstract: Apparatus and method of controlling delivery of text messages to a subscriber (2, 9, 10) in a telecommunications services apparatus, the method comprising the steps of the subscriber making a selection as to a mode of delivery that the subscriber requires for one of (i) a future text message and (ii) a category of future text messages, for example delivery by fax or e-mail, the subscriber's requested selection being implemented by a message processing means (3) in the form of an SMS router which is part of the home network (B) with which the subscriber's mobile telephone is normally associated, the arrangement being such that any text messages intended by the sender (1) to be delivered to the said subscriber, as intended receiver thereof, are directed to the message processing means which then implements the delivery mode previously selected by the subscriber (2, 9, 10).

  • Publication number: 20050287622
Abstract: In this application is described substrates for high-throughput assays of clostridial neurotoxin proteolytic activities. Two types of substrates are described for use in assays for the proteolytic activities of clostridial neurotoxins: (1) modified peptides or proteins that can serve as FRET substrates and (2) modified peptides or proteins that can serve as immobilized substrates. In both types a fluorescent molecules is present in the substrate, eliminating the requirement for the addition of a fluorigenic reagent. The assays described can be readily adapted for use in automated or robotic systems.
