  • Patent number: 4690163
Abstract: A method for regulating the flow volume of a fluid medium and apparatus therefor wherein the actual value of the flow volume of the fluid medium is measured and an analogous signal is generated representing the actual value. A signal representing a desired value of flow volume is also generated and is compared with the actual value signal with the analogous differential signal being applied as an electrical control signal consisting of individual pulse signals having a frequency proportional to the value of the analogous differential signal. The control signal is amplified and applied to control either the pressure or the rate of flow of the fluid medium.

  • Patent number: 4306609
Abstract: For packing granular materials, especially foundry moulding materials, by means of an exothermic reaction of a mixture of air and fuel in a combustion chamber (23), a relative movement between the combustible mixture and one or several pulse triggers (19), is produced during the exothermic reaction, preferably by a blower (20) disposed in the combustion chamber (23). Hence the measured amount of sand introduced into a moulding frame (11) and a filling frame (12) over a pattern (6) by means of a sand container (17) is packed to form a mould body.

  • Patent number: 4010876
Abstract: An arrangement for the delivery of predetermined amounts from a sealed and heated storage vessel. The storage vessel has an overflow pipe and a closeable opening for insertion of a molten charge. An intermediate vessel, which is sealed, communicates with the overflow pipe of the storage vessel. The intermediate vessel has a delivery pipe for delivering measured quantities of the molten metal. The intermediate vessel also includes means for measuring the molten charge within the vessel. The flow of the molten metal is controlled by pressurized gas lines which are selectively turned on and off. The arrangement includes a throttle control and storage element for controlling the quantity of molten charge delivered as a function of time. Means for supplying an inoculant or seeding agent are disclosed.
