  • Patent number: 12366357
Abstract: A fuel-fired furnace incorporates specially designed fuel/air mixing and combustion structures. The fuel/air mixing structure is of a mixing sound-attenuating design and includes a venturi having a perforated sidewall portion and being surrounded by a noise-damping housing chamber communicating with the interior of the venturi via its sidewall perforations. During use of the mixing structure, air is flowed through the venturi in a swirling pattern while fuel is transversely injected internally against the swirling air. The combustion structure includes a burner box housing into which the fuel/air mixture is flowed, combusted, and then discharged as hot combustion gas into and through the heat exchanger tubes. The fuel/air mixture entering the burner box housing initially passes through a non-uniformly perforated diffuser plate functioning to substantially alter in a predetermined manner the relative combustion gas flow rates through the heat exchanger tubes.

  • Patent number: 12156751
Abstract: A biosensor obtains at least a first photoplethysmography (PPG) signal at a first wavelength from a user and a second PPG signal obtained at a second wavelength from the user. The biosensor determines a first R value of the user using the first PPG signal and the second PPG signal and compares the first R value of the user to a normal range of R values for a blood type of the user. The biosensor determines a color of blood of the user using the first, second or another PPG signal and determines an abnormal condition that affects red blood cells of the user in response to the color of the blood and/or in response to the comparison or the first R value of the user to a normal range of R values for a blood type of the user.

  • Publication number: 20240281187
Abstract: Video samples from a camera or cameras of a mobile device are sent as analog levels to a system-on-chip (SoC) or other processor of the device. The analog levels are the analog video samples or be an encoded form of the video samples. The samples are converted to digital and interpolated within the SoC to produce digital RGB samples suitable for display. Or, the analog video samples are interpolated within the SoC using analog processing to produce analog RGB samples. Or, only the G samples are transmitted to the SoC, and processed using analog processing. After processing within the SoC, the samples are sent as analog levels or in encoded form to a corresponding receiver of a display integrated with column drivers. Digital functionality of the DDIC of the display is moved into the SoC or into circuitry separate from, and connected to, the SoC via an MIPI DSI interface.

  • Publication number: 20240271813
Abstract: A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit including a variable-speed drive and a bypass circuit is provided. Under normal operation, the drive receives line voltages as inputs and provides variable-speed control signals to components of the HVAC unit (for example, a compressor, fan motor, etc.). The drive allows the HVAC to operate at below maximum capacity, which increases the efficiency of the HVAC unit. When a fault condition is detected in the drive, the HVAC unit automatically switches to the bypass circuit such that the line voltages are provided directly to the components. This results in the HVAC unit operating at maximum capacity for a period of time, but allows the HVAC unit to continue operation even when the drive is experiencing the fault condition.
